How can you not feel bad for that team? They haven't had anything to hang their hat on in 30 years. I couldn't hate them, they've had just too much misfortune.

I mean I think that's part of the issue for me. They pulled off one of the greatest runs in the history of sports and then there is absolutely nothing after that. Nothing at all. To let the franchise fall to the level of disrepair that it has, I don't know, it just really pisses me off for some reason. Maybe it's just me thinking how I would feel if that happened to NJ. I'd be incredibly disgusted. It's like seeing someone fail so hard that it makes you angry.

I know it's a little early to overreact, but I feel like one of the biggest problems this year has been chemistry. Everything keeps getting jumbled and nobody is comfortable with their line mates and we get inconsistent efforts and bad reads and bad plays and it all compounds. The Devils clearly spend time with the puck, but they don't know what to do with it.
