To the first paragraph, that's an assumption. We don't know how much pull Clarke has right now it's just your belief. Maybe right, maybe wrong, no factual proof either way.
To the second. When a team fails the negative people are "always right" and that's a self fulfilling prophecy. If they get good you'll just come up with an I told you so and they finally did it right thing. It's sports. That's how it always goes and it's not difficult to do.
To the last paragraph in no way do I "want you to disappear". I told you earlier you be whatever you want to be. I just said I think it must be a miserable way to be a fan to always look for the negative. You are most free to do that if it makes you happy. Enjoy.
I have some Buffalo fan friends and they are all rabid about the owner now. I think it's inevitable that over time if a team fails the blame goes higher and higher up the food chain until it lands at the very top, the owner. They don't have a Clarke or any senior hockey guy so it goes straight to the owner who sits in on meetings. I don't think Clarke does that. Isn't he in Florida relaxing?
It isn't an assumption. Holmgren is on record that he hired Fletcher because Clarke told him to.
The only time's I've ended up being dead wrong about this team was when I was enthusiastic or approving about what they did. Been right every other time. What does it say when the team is so badly managed that they can't prove a bunch of random internet dorks wrong routinely? And why are you so adamant that nobody should point out this massive and decade-long problem?
I am not miserable, thanks. The team is what it is. I'm not going to betray my life-long team all because you are sad about seeing the truth about them and wish I'd go somewhere else.
