So what’s going on with Michkov? I haven’t been able to watch games recently but he’s in a pointless funk after a red hot stretch. I do worry a bit about his stamina as he’s played like 40 games a year the last few seasons.

Also Cates has been consistently getting on the scoreboard lately. Might just be a nice stretch but maybe he’s got more than what we thought. Most people wrote him off as a young defensive player but he’s had some offense lately

I will say, I thought Torts was gonna take Michkov out of the lineup after last game. Has to be the accumulation of the previous game and the turnover in the 2nd (which lead to nothing by the way)

MM barely touches the puck in the ozone on the pp or even strength. 1pp is a disaster with Drysdale. Even strength Tippett has blinders on and was never suited to play with MM. Frost isn't trusted defensively along with MM, so they are quick to get limited ice. Today Tippett was bumped up to 1rst line to get him going. MM isn't in a position to succeed at all

Drysdale through a backwards play in the neutral zone to Michkov at 12:15ish in the second, puck bounced off his stick as his stick was behind him and the Drysdale pass was unexpected...after that he went back to the bench, JJ says he slammed his stick against the boards, looks like Torts says something to him and then I dont recall them playing him after that

Frost did choose to center to sanheim in the slot when he was covered by 3 guys instead of an open MM behind the net, but I think that was earlier. Maybe he yelled at Rocky 😄

Bench the most talented player on the team because he was frustrated about a pass. Yeah Torts is the guy to lead the team Lmaoo.

Look at the treatment of a superior prospect, why would he wanna put up with that bullshit?
Oh, that. Ok.

I guess it’s just that I have little charity for Cutter Gauthier, mostly because he never cared to address the very fair question of why he ghosted the team and demanded the trade. If it’s reasonable (or even if it’s not!) to hold thoughts both that CG deserves whatever criticism he gets and Torts is, to put a point on it, the wrong coach for a team in this team’s situation, that’s where I’m at.

Why does he have to tell us why he didn't want to play here?

He doesn't. It's none of our business

The likely answer is Tortorella. He's hated amongst the league

It’s none of your business why I think he should address why he did what he did.

He’s a professional hockey player. He can address it, even if he channeled Crash Davis in doing so. Stop babying him.
