Del Zotto is inching closer and closer to the net with each shot. At this rate he'll finally score a goal early in the 2023-24 season.

Is there a reason why AV's system in the offensive zone would be incompatible with Torts' in the D zone?

Remember when it was practically a miracle for opposing teams to score 3+ goals against us?

What the ****, man.

Didnt we have the strongest defensive period since the 70's earlier in the season. Like someone else mentioned earlier in this thread - this team is completely bipolar.

Also Nash for the love of all your money score a damn goal

nevesis and RangersHank, can you give me your opinion on that?

Sure, the shot was a rocket and Hank's glove is designed to block more than it is to catch. What I mean is, his glove palm is so stiff (not only to protect stingers, but to act more as a blocking tool) so, if he doesn't catch the puck exactly in the t-trap, it will either hit off of him one way or the other. That was misplayed a little and it's in the back of the net.

I will fault Hank or ANY goalie when they give up soft goals. But the game of hockey is about scoring goals. It happens every single night all across the NHL. Goalies get scored on and these shooters are the best in the world.

Hey neutral observer here. What is it like to attend games at the Garden? I hear it's a really good place to go see a game.

It's interesting. Compared to other buildings in the league, MSG is very quirky.

Now that it's "the world's most renovated arena," the amenities in the concourses are the same as in newer buildings. However, sightlines and leg room are not on par with newer arenas. Despite what you may read on here, the atmosphere on most nights is good, and most fans have at least some hockey knowledge. It's a great place to go to a game to get a feel for how going to games used to be...

Just my opinion as a season ticket holder and as someone who's been lucky enough to travel to games in a lot of other arenas.

I believe they were referring to the alienation of Luongo, and the subsequent drama.

AV had two starting goalies at that point. His hands were tied. But at the time the two got along great and were great in the room.

The drama mostly resulted from the GM openly saying he tried to trade Lu and couldn't.

Boyle's skating has looked good all game. he's pivoting backwards superbly, driving the net, screening the goalie, and strong on the pucl

Lundqvist isn't some average goalie, though. He's definitely an above-average goalie and has been among the top 3 in the league each season (except this one) since he entered the league. Everything you just said shouldn't apply to him. That would apply to average goalies.
