How many penalties will Zucc take tonight? :scared:

*Eeeeeeeeeeeek*, I can't help but worry about that. Since Torts didn't get mad about the 3 he got last time, maybe he will check if can he get away with 4 ..

I predict maximum 4 high stickings for Zucc and 0 for closing his hand on the puck.:sarcasm:

If they stay down and play through the AHL playoffs it should be a good experience for them. Miller arguably had bad luck, but he didn't net a few extremely good chances. If only goalies wouldn't have career games against us day in day out.

With Clowe I thought one would go down but both??? Meh. .

It is the right call for their development. If Torts is only confident enough in both of them to give them in the range of 5-10 minutes of ice time a night, that is not helping them. And getting to play in the Whale's playoffs will be good for them. The Rangers have the bodies, especially with the acquisition of Clowe, that they can afford to do this.

I'm excited to see what Clowe brings to the team. Going to be a late night for me, so I'm going to miss most, or all (hopefully not!) of the game tonight... I really wanted to see how Clowe looks. Oh well.

LGR! I smell a home and home sweep for the Rangers. Just do it.

So who the heck is playing tonight?

We added depth yesterday getting Clowe and lost it less then 24 hours later.

Could easily be 4 if the refs continue to let Zuke take the fall for his teammates´ penalties.....

So our bottom six in no particular order is

Clowe
Boyle
Pyatt
Powe
Asham
Hagelin

Jeff Halpern is looking really good right about now.

Hmmm, with Miller and Kreider out...

Nash - Stepan - Callahan
Clowe - Richards - Gaborik
Hagelin - Boyle - MZA
Pyatt - Powe - Asham

Is that what we're gonna see to start it off?

Edit: Looking at this, a legitimate 3rd C really does change the feel of this team for me.

Nash - Stepan - Callahan
Clowe - Richards - Gaborik
Hagelin - X - MZA
Powe - Boyle - Asham

I'd be happy with that in our playoff push tbh. Assuming X is somewhat physical and can win faceoffs. (Ott is a pipedream for this role).

That's what I personally pencilled in when I was bored at my 10:00 meeting.

Pittsburgh, which means a guaranteed goal in the first 5 minutes.

If we can rebound after that we should be good.

Yeah, Torts doesn't know how to develop young talent**. How does he still have a job?

**Outside of Callahan, Dubinsky, Hagelin, Stepan, Staal, McDonagh, Girardi, Del Zotto, etc.....

what do those players have to do with kreider? kreider played his best game of the season in philly and then a good game against the sens. how does he get rewarded? sent to the 4th line for 2 games then sent to the whale. i dont know what torts' problem is.

I don't see Clowe on the 2nd, not in the Torts system. He's slower than Zucc, not a big playmaker, and hasn't scored this season. Being a physical player Clowe has taken a few hits and punches, and it shows. Most people without nyr-goggles agree he's now a typical 3rd liner.

Will be watching the game tonight to see Clowe's debut. I have a feeling that he'll make a statement (fight/excessive chirping) with either Iginla or Morrow.

IIRC he fought Iginla in the past and called him a crybaby :biglaugh:

edit: here's the vid, it's at the end

er, i have no idea how to embed.
