That misses the point. When you don't have players ready to play in the NHL, nothing wrong with signing or using stop gap older vets to fill in as support players. It's when the Flyers routinely sign and or trade for veteran players. Sign some to deals with term and block younger players from playing in the NHL when they're NHL ready. That's an issue. Flyers, who should be rebuilding. Routinely go into seasons with very little opportunity for younger player to make the team. It's why Andrae wasn't on the team from the first game of the season and isn't on the team now. When he clearly showed that he was NHL ready player and he made some impact and improved the Flyers. Now King Tutorella doesn't want to play him.Name one rebuilding team that's not playing players 30 and over.
