I don't remember Pittsburgh or the Penguins even exist half the time anymore.

I do only because I still naively check the standings to see how we are doing respective to playoff zone. Oh and the colleague Penguins fan, that factor too.

Might actually torture myself and wake up at 2am to watch this. Or stay up. They'll probably lose 0:4 or something.

Can't change a winning formula. Keep Couts a healthy scratch even if he's available. Right Torts?

A.I. consistently makes better looking Flyers jerseys than the Flyers do.

It’s the end of December and it’s the first game against the Penguins.

Great schedule in a league that has its playoff format be the way it is because of RIVALRIESSSS
I remember when they used to play each other 8x a year....way too much

then they switched it to 6x?? a year, which was fine

Now - I genuinely think they killed off the rivalries

Well, they would look better with Couts at LW and a faster center.
He may be too slow for center at this point in his career.
And he never was a playmaker in his prime (had G for that). More of a goal scorer.
At LW he could be a very good goal scoring PF, similar to Mark Stone.

However, while Laughton is playing better this season, don't see him as a center either.
Top speed last four seasons: 22.58, 22.24, 22.12, 21.71, 20+ bursts follow a similar decline path.
He can be sheltered at LW, more exposed at C.

Well not according to the league because of the new playoff seeding promoting rivalries.

Couturier is a center and that is his best position. His game was never built on speed but on his strong positioning and elite level hockey sense. He just needs to be moved down in the lineup. Laughton is having a down season overall compared to last season.
