Our forwards combined for 13 shots on goal. 13. And 5 of those came from Kreider alone. No shots at all from Strome, Laf, or Gaut. Only 1 shot from Kakko. The Hajek/Jones pairing were an atrocity. Goodrow played his game well, but he also finished with the highest TOI/G among our forwards. That's a recipe for disaster. Literally nothing went right with this game, and it looked like it all started with a lack of effort/heart. At one point, early in the third, they showed a shot of the Vegas bench, and Nicolas Roy was literally dancing to the DJ music (I think it was an Elton John song). That should have been seen as an insult--that the opponent wasn't even taking them seriously. But this group was too busy staring at their laces. The body language of this group is just ridiculously bad when things don't go well. This is the kind of game where we really miss a player like Blais. Ugh. Just need to bleach it from the brain and hope that it can all be chalked up to the start of west coast traveling.
