For all the Del Zotto hate, i actually think he has really been very good this year. But other than he and Step, yep, not much. I'm actually scratching my brain trying to think. Nash was fun to watch at the beginning?

Couple of players have been playing well, but I don't care about their accomplishments if the team is playing terribly.

DZ/Stepan/Lundqvist/Staal/Nash have been consistently good this season. The rest have been up and down.

Chicago suffered 8 straight shutouts in 1928-29, a record that has stood ever since.

Is there a streak that has been more recent than that? When was the last time a team had 5 in a row?

I'd be interested to see what happens as well. I may even enjoy watching game #5.

If we go 8 that would be rather amazing. Who has our last goal? Asham?

Pre-forward pass. I'll try to find post-forward pass

Can you imagine if we still had that? This team, which can't pass for **** anyway, not being able to pass forward? LOL.

We might actually score negative goals.

more recently habs went 199 minutes and 1 second without a goal in 2011 and that was ended by roman hamrlik against the atlanta thrashers...interesting

Imagine if we broke the 8 game record. That would be seriously absurd. All pre-forward pass teams would be better at offense than this one lol.

Longest I found modern day was 245 minutes by the Coyotes which included 3 shutouts.

So if we went 5, I think it would be a forward pass era record.

That's a little more than 4 full games. When was our last goal recorded at? Just checked. We're at 127 now. So still a ways to go.

Hawks score 7 goals in one game.. it would take the Rangers two months on the pace that they are.. so does Montoya get the shutout tonight?? former Ranger :help:

Rangers win 2-1 in a painfully boring, lathargic game.

JT scores early as the Rangers look to kill, Pavelec makes some big saves and the Jets get a crazy deflection goal off the stick of Antropov. The 2nd half of the 1st is the usual dump and chase and no scoring chances. 2nd period is all Jets, they control the puck for the majority of the period yet Rangers block most of the shots and the only cheers of the period are for Callahan who blocks 3 consecutive shots late in the 2nd on the PK. Jets get called for a late penalty in the 2nd. 3rd period starts with Rangers on the PP and immediately get the puck in Jets' zone, Gaborik gets set up with 2 big scoring chances and refuses to shoot. Nash gets robbed just as time runs off the PP. Few minutes later, Jets turn puck over in neutral zone and Steps breaks out with Hagelin on a 2-1. Steps looks pass the whole way and shoots and scores 5 hole making Pavelec look like he went to the Biron school of goaltending. The rest of the 3rd is the usual dump and chase followed up with a bunch of icings. Hank makes 2 huge saves as time expires and the Rangers win!

If anyone took the time to read this god bless you! class sucks right now haha

3-1 loss before a clean Pittsburgh sweep to cap off a 5 game losing streak and end the pain.

Just thinking about watching this team attempt to play this way is giving me headaches and a cold sweat.
