Just finished the game. Has Cronin been fired yet? How can this continue? All of the offense has been coached out of the team and they are not good enough defensively to make up for it. There are too many offensive, talented players who are clearly suffering.

Philadelphia played a terrible game. That should have been an easy win. Super disappointed with not the players but with the management. It's actively hurting the long term goals for the team.

Watching a bit of the replay that crossed my screen, and the main takeaway is that the breakouts are unfathomable. They recycle possession to the defensemen all the way back in their own end (almost always with forechecking pressure on them) and the forwards retreat at least 60 feet away to provide them with no puck support and a prayer of a stretch passing option. Ridiculous

This is what Hazy was talking about post game. Strategy and system are bad because it seems to require the puck go back to the dmen.

Hazy said this “strategy” needs to be changed.

This system sucks and doesn’t play to the players strengths at all.

yes, i was thinking this during the 1st period but wasn't sure if i was just imagining it. so much of the offense requires passing the puck back to the blueline so the two dmen can just pass the puck back and forth while the other team pushes them. so often we'll see a forward cross into the offensive zone, go towards the wall then do that little stop and spin move to pass the puck back to the dmen, just to have no forward in front of the net or even near the net to collect any kind rebound a goalie might give up. it's so frustrating
