I may be wrong but the guys play tight. It’s tough playing for Tortorella with his constant shuffling around of players. Lines and pairs are constantly changing. It’s like he throws all of their names into a box and then grabs three or two out at a time to see how they do. Few of these guys play enough with each other to create chemistry. Then if a mistake is made, the line/pair is broken up and someone is glued to the bench.
It drives me nuts, no players ever get to develop chemistry. CONSTANT line shuffling.

The Flyers led 3-2 late in the second.

From that point forward, the Kings had 5 GOALS and the Flyers had 2 SHOTS.

Just f***ing fire Torts and Rocky already.
that cant be right... we play the right way and we are hard to play against..

🤣🤣🤣🤣

The more I think about it, fire the coward Briere first. Torts is a lazy chicken shit coward, he will just outright quit soon.
quit to move upstairs... yes....

Holy hell, that was the absolute worst broadcast crew I have ever heard.

Does PK ever shut up? It's cliche after cliche, and he just keeps yapping. The play by play guy wasn't much better.

Kolosov wasn't great. That late goal in the 2nd period can't happen. I've seen him lose the puck a lot in traffic close to the net. He's leaky and can't quite freeze it when he needs to. He's only 22 and he'll get better I'm sure.

Both goalies are kind of deflating right now, and a not-insignificant part of that is the team defense.

Nice to see Foerster have a big game.

Hmm. Checks notes, they're rebuilding for a couple more years.
DB: Does that mean I should make a desperation trade for a veteran to turn this season around?

Torts said before the season he was "scared" of playing young goalies.
Team now has lowest all situations Sv%
GA - xGA/60 = -0.57. Also league worst.
14th overall in xGA/60.

Michkov needs talent surrounding him that can actually take the focus off of him so he can make plays.

Rule 1 for his teammates should be get him the puck when he has space. Andrae passed on a give and go in the neutral zone this game, Risto did the same the previous game.

Tippett was actually looking to pass a few times which may have been the first time I ever noticed it, but he usually has blinders on. Frost as well needs space and can lose the puck easily.

Pp wise has been a disaster in entries. Brink hasn't looked good in that unit and Drysdale is just there in the ozone, with little chance to get it through

If they're rebuilding they'd be trading several veterans away. They aren't rebuilding though. They even took a baseball hat to a couple guys value by extending them instead.

We are well past the point where your claims that the team is rebuilding are as goofy as your claims that Ghost is a #7 or Tortorella is an offensively minded coach.

The regression is incredible , firing Torts should be a slam dunk

I may be misunderstanding your meaning. Whilst i'm no fan of Torts, what do you expect him to return from this line-up? TK, MM and Sanheim are the only players who are anywhere "above average" on the ability scale. Our goalies are less effective than a piece of A4 glued to the post. We've got an absolutely trash line up and like last year we're still only a good week away from being in the play-offs.

Don't get me wrong, I would sack him still but only because he's keeping this pig slop within touching distance of the play-offs - and that's self defeating.

Development should be an important goal for young players, and seeing hard regressions from Frost, Foerster, Tippett, York, Zamula, and Farabee is cause enough. The guy is a shit coach who told us when hired he hates working with youth and tries to avoid even talking to them, and all he's done on that front is play head games to wreck confidence.

Hell it doesn't matter if your rebuilding or contending, building skills or maintaining them, he should have instantly had his contract cancelled for failure to live up to it after those statements.

Add to this what he acknowledged: he has no concept of offense. Because of that his defense suffers as well.
Watching the Flyers in the offensive end, when they finally get there, is seeing guys skating around with little purpose. Occasionally there are some two player games put on but usually not. Everything from the perimeter with no cross ice passes allowed. It's a joke; probably designed by the Rockhead in charge of the PP that has two minutes to not take a shot on goal. They're pathetic.
