I think what alot of people dont realize is that many of the players had slow starts or looked "off" do to the different offseason they had due to the pandemic. These guys are like robots and are used to the same routine, you change it up and everything is off.

Plus we have quite a few on these boards that are quick to write guys off or say they dont fit after a handful of games. Sometimes things click right away sometimes they take time. Kap and Geno are a great example this year

I definitely agree. I think Sid looks great in every facet of the game except coming back and supporting the defense. There are so many times it ends up being Jake or Rust because he doesn't come back.

I would pray that is preserving energy for another day but... it's just weird. And it's not even bad. It's just unusual because I think Sid is the most deserving of a Selke.

Laff would MAYBE be a 4th liner if he slowed the game down a little bit. He skates so fast and his mind can't even remotely play at the speed his legs do. He's Koltsov. He has no clue where to dump and he has ZERO control with his speed.
