Careful....the possession driver patrol will get ya
I didn't say that was Henriks fault. Id be a little careful yelling at people for making mistakes if i was letting in a softie every game though.Legit question, how was that Hanks fault?
And it's non sense. Analytics don't tell everything. Every game there is a page dedicated to a huge defensive error Shattenkirk makes. He doesn't pass the eye test on a routine basis. But let's pat him on the back for secondary PP assists.
What? So it's now wrong to say that Shattenkirk's offensive ability outweighs his defensive liability?
Because that's the truth.
The concept of Shattenkirk the PP specialist and offensive spark on defense is nice. It would be nice if our top pairing was saddled with Nick Holden. Our bottom pairing weighted down with Staal.
Gorton needs to do his homework and figure out what a good defenseman really is. Staal, Kampfer, and Holden are not it.

If Buch would have scored there I would have fell out of my chair.

Hahaha yep, classic no look giveaway. Thankfully he was working back home and nothing happendZucc with the beaver brad special
That's an entirely different argument than "Shattenkirk is really good at offense, therefore he's good at defense". That play was a perfect example of how and why "defensive defenseman" still have a role in hockey.
I get on Shattenkirk for not making "hard" defensive plays. That's a perfect example there. Two weak defensive efforts on the same play.
Point is I don't see him telling at his team mates when they f*** up...... AND you can count on Shattenkirk to make 1-2 bone headed defensive plays per game. I guess it evens out.
