Nice to see a 34 year old statue of a defenseman skate circles around us.
that is mind boggling...marino getting burned, Tanger with his 0 IQ special, and Jarry with awful positioniong...trifecta...again, this is the same kind period like against Red Wings, or some other games we won, only this time we did not get bounces...we have three lines put together to make sure that that little offensive talent we have is spread thin and effectively stopped...17 shots against in the second...none of the 3 cneters, blueger, McCann and Laff can hold onto the play for the life...just dumps to no one and lose the puck...no support by the forwards whatsoever in the second...

I guess Sullivan wants to use the Oilers model of proven success where we only have 1 line that can score.

Keep the ZAR and Simon sucktitude to 1 line please.

It was a ****ty period and all went to hell when Geno took his slashing penalty.

Up to him to rally the troops and lead them to victory.

This team is uber resilient, they can do it... oh and it helps that the Habs are not very good.

The penalty . . . and then all four penalty killers cheating on that bouncing puck sequence that ended in a 2 on 0 against Jarry.

That last one was 'am I really watching this happen' in slow motion. Just brutal.

You just knew that was coming. I don't really understand why Jarry went down on that. Weber was at a bad angle and on his backhand. Jarry gave himself no chance to be able to slide across.

But it's still Murray's fault that went in.

That collapse was more our #1D showing he's still capable of dumb af play and our depth D rearing it's nasty head(Ruhwedel).
Felt a loss heading into this one so not all that surprised.

That last goal Letang or Jarry needed to be at that left post and neither were. Tanger cheated too much to the right post and ran into a Hab.

Well.... I came into the office after having taking the kids to kindergarten, put the game on at the start of the 2nd period, seeing 1-0 Pens and 10-5 in shots after the first.

Then get the worst Pens period of the season. I think it must be. Surely the worst I have seen. Montreal could have scored 6 or 7 goals easily and we barely had a real high danger shot (maybe Rust's qualifies, but that's more or less it).
Horrible defense and lack of any bottle when establishing the zone. Lackadaisical stickwork gifting away possession time and again. Couldn't play more into Montreal's wheelhouse if we tried.

We are not playing a particularly good team here. Test for Sullivan to bring people's hearts back in this.

Yeah way to shit the bed. I'm not blaming Jarry for those. Sully probably is so his boy Murray gets an excuse to start.

Hopefully the Pens can rally in the third. A bit of a shame the 2nd went that way, because I thought we looked good in the first. Except for the PP. The PP looked like ass once again.

Dude, it's a bit overkill with your complaining about this. Sullivan's played Jarry in something like 7 out of the last 8 games. Clearly he has no qualms about going with the hot hand.

If Sullivan was as bad as you make it sound, he would have started Murray tonight with the "excuse" that Murray won on Saturday. Instead, he went with the guy who has been playing better.
