The bad trade was the Gabby one. They traded for Nash because, "one scorer wasn't enough." So they promptly trade the second scorer after like 40 games, causing the same problem we had originally.

wake up bro......this team played with an edge when he was here. Guess your quite happy with the pansy's that have been on the ice for this team for the last two years.
Sorry, carry on
This team made it to the ECF when he was not here. They actually play like a bubble team when he's here. They are currently still a bubble team.
All Avery did was fool a bunch of fans into thinking he's useful.
Okay, 35. Sorry I was off by five game.40 games? It was a lockout year.

He played half of last year in the ECHL. It means nothing. He's currently playing quite well in the A and is a legitimately good goaltending prospect. He's made some very good saves tonight.
That said, the team is playing like garbage and has the backbone of worm.
When you think about it, we had tons of depth but no star power. Traded for Nash and then we had too much star power and no depth. Traded Gaborik.
Hockey is different here.
Once again, they're not breaking the pattern of not being able to take advantage of not-good goalies.
If we kept that 2012 ECF team together and maybe signed another 1-2 guys, i think it would have worked. 52 games won and you break the teak up?
Your name sake is a little to blame. If we had two good centers, instead of one last year, they probably never feel the need to get another one. And Gabby probably produces enough where Torts doesn't run him out of town. When you think about it, we had tons of depth but no star power. AV has come here and improved what he was brought in to imrpove. But in the process he had to compromise aspects of our game which Torts made strong. When coaches have to compromise, the team is just no good.
I'd say they have a pattern, alright. They make backups look like Roysek.
Avery? Really?
