Have to give this game 110%. We need to score at least 3 goals in this game.

I've got a good feeling the Capitals pot 3 or 4 tonight. They're on fire. Ovechkin is playing his best hockey in a long time. If the Rangers can't put together a responsible defensive game, and put at least three in the net, this one will be lost.

The thing that frustrates me the most is not only with him but Gaborik as well. If they get even a little bit challenged they throw the puck blindly to whoever or wherever. It's like the kid who played football who didn't want to be tackled so when he spotted someone running up to him he tossed the ball willy nilly just to avoid contact.

Exactly, and it's not even just that but they're not even focusing on their other aspects. There should be absolutely no reason they can't make good crisp passes to other team mates. I can't count how many times this season both have just dumped the bed entering the zone and completely missed with their pass to an open team mate. Like no pressure they just pass 5 feet behind the guy for no reason.

These are supposed to be your leaders and they're just not stepping up at all. No feeling of responsibility for the salaries they make and the obligations that are implied with that type of salary. So many high paid players act like this.

Infuriating.

Newburry promoted.. has good chemistry from ct with kreider.. torts doesn't put him with Kreider... ok....

#NYR lines: Nash-Richards-Gaborik Hagelin-Stepan-Callahan Kreider-Boyle-Pyatt Asham-Newbury-Powe

So that horrific first line gets another chance at being ineffective.

Torts is so awesome. :(

Exactly. Keeps making it tough on kreider. we need someone who knows how to get the puck to him near the net. Only stepan and newbury have shown that

Pyatt and Boyle playing with Kreider.

It was nice knowing you kid.

LOL. One of the better things I've read all day.

It's true. Sometimes I'm fooled into thinking we're on the penalty kill when he's on the ice cause we enter the offensive zone and its (for example) Boyle and Miller behind the net, and McDonough and Girardi set up on the point, and Pyatt hasn't even entered the camera frame yet.. :shakehead

The team possesses the necessary skills required they just need to build some confidence. I'm sure the fans and "experts" weren't the only ones who had the Rangers pegged as favorites to win it all this year. They were probably coming out like they were going to be unstoppable and quickly realized that they weren't prepared. Since then it seems to have been a constant struggle to gain some confidence and hold on to it longer than a couple of games. I still think it's possible but only time will tell.

They should look at it this way: Tonight is the first game of the rest of the season. Start anew and just focus on working as a team and winning period by period.

I think Miller has looked just fine. He's not putting up points because no one is right now. But on a better, higher scoring team, I think he'd be looking a lot better on the stat sheets.

Daneyko taking sticks to the face in a charity game. He doesn't have anymore teeth to lose lol. Made a nice move on that penalty shot though.

I don't know what you're talking about. Putting him with two snipers (Boyle and Pyatt) should have yielded a lot more positive results. Not every rookie is lucky enough to be paired with these two offensive dynamos.

I stand totally corrected. He should have 50 points right now. Since he can't perform with those studs, I say demote him and put him on a line with Richards or Gabs until he can get his act together.
