The reason they are top 5 is because they have had the third weakest schedule in the league and have beaten up on the weaker teams in the league. They are something like 6-10 against teams with actual winning records.
I've pointed this out to you before but that's basically how the NHL works.
Last season, I believe that only Pitt had a really good record against playoff teams and they were eliminated quickly.
No matter which team you "rooted" for, you could and would say the same thing about that team.
All this whining about a team playing about 15 points ahead of the pace you expected.
