I get on the Metro in Dupont Circle and ride it to Rockville, where there's a transfer to the MARC commuter rail to take me to my home out in Western MD. It's a decent commute normally (90 minutes or so each way) but not bad. Today there was a fire on the tracks at Metro and a freight train hit a car on the shared commuter tracks. f***ing fails across the board.

I used to work for the largest transit union in the US and Canada and I've been on every major rail system in the country. The DC Metro is by far the worst, primarily due to the Byzantine funding mechanisms and an aging system not designed to support but a fraction of what it does today.

Anyway. LOL. LGR.

Yeah they privatized that garage and the contractor sucks. So the local took the members out. Hopefully they reach an amicable conclusion and you can get back to not having to take Metro.

Got back from Vegas this morning. Still on Vegas time so I’ll be up for this one. Guys you gotta add the Rangers road game in Vegas on your bucket list. It’s insane. Party 24/7, Vegas duh, but the arena is awesome, one of my top 3 favorites in the league. The place is loud and rocks. Great atmosphere. And there’s a ton of Rangers fans who go so you don’t have to worry about being harassed too much by the Vegas fans. In fact, most of them were really nice and said good game.
