Unfortunately, this can only happen in a perfect world. I don’t think Hank is unselfish enough to allow this to happen. Not that I blame him or expect him to retire or waive his NMC, but Marleau unselfishly waived his NMC to allow Toronto to trade him to help with their cap situation. I also think Hank thinks this team can make the playoffs, and do well this year and next.

they can if he’s no longer the goalie

Yeah it's a combination of **** going on tonight that's not going well for us mostly it's Quick in my mind.

Seriously, I've watched him quite a bit due to my fantasy hockey **** I do and I'm telling you this is about as good as he's looked all year and it's not even close.

I think the red, white and blue colors of ours is just the tonic Quick needed to remember he used to be good. You watch, his next game, he'll give up 4-5 goals like he has for most of this year...lol

BTW: Your Wojtek Wolski avatar is like a blast from the past as I think I even drafted him in my $$ league 10 or so years ago....good stuff!

Thanks. I was so excited when we got him. Too bad he only showed flashes.

no question there certainly are plenty of times when we over do it and pass up on good opportunities. A bunch tonight alone.

I think we can score goals tonight is more the exception to the rule. We’ve won games we shouldn’t have because of goaltending. Tonight we’re probably losing because of goaltending. If we’re serious about playoffs with our style Georgiev has to play the majority of the games.
I don't think that'll be a reliable model for playoff success when you consider how much more variance there is with teams being overly aggressive and penalties not being called. Quinn needs to get this team to figure out how to stably control the puck and keep pressure away from our net. I think we are on the right track in some areas, but too often do forwards not provide puck support on breakouts or backchecks. I think this team has the potential to do really well in a system like VGK runs where they play a heavy north-south game, but also control the puck and create a lot of dangerous chances. I'd argue our defensive corps is better than theirs sans Staal, so personnel isn't really an excuse on the backend systemically; forward depth is obviously another story.

Need to get a dirty one early. Credit to LA, they have had good sticks through 40 breaking up all passes. Even Panarin struggling to thread the needle.

tfw this team suporting my alcoholism

yeah that's right, I made another bodega tallboy run. s/o to these bums putting up a stinker against the kings.

another rough morning commute but **** it ;)

Wouldn't it be ironic if Strome after being drafted 5th overall by the Islanders, he'd play the rest of his career with the Rangers. I know it won't happen but say Strome feels he'd want to stay here at a reduced rate because he can play with Panarin.

You are getting emotional over a general consensus by hockey fans and fans on this message board: Staal is not good anymore. He cannot play in the NHL. When did I say we are losing the game solely from Staal’s play? Stop trying to twist my words to fit your own prerogative.
see....there is a tendency to lash out at a player who is a whipping boy (and at times, certainly deserved) even when he has nothing to do with whats happening out there. We have lots of discussions going on about the lack of shooting, KK's bad luck, Hanks troubles.....but then you come up with the gem of Staal being bad tonight (words to that effect)….which seems like just trying to fit the narrative and not watching the game.

In this one at least, none of the defensemen are really to be at fault with whats happened so far.....its on the forwards....and a weak second goal.

That horn will be the turning point in this game and to an eventual Stanely Cup win before Henrik and Staal retires voluntarily.

Oh and if there is a worse goal horn in the league, I haven't heard it. This one here in LA is horrific...my lord. I pray we don't have to hear it again!!
That, plus the South Park Cartman Go Kings Go. I wanted to stab my ears with pencils. Not sure if they still do that though.

I made a general, yet factual, statement about Staal and you are in a twist about it. That is on you.
