Kaap needs a stick with a curve for shooting and not for wizardry. What worked in the Finnish league and at other levels with more time or space isn't working here. He needs to figure it out. Equipment guys and his teammates can jump in on that.

Fwiw: That goal is not on Hank, but when he was in his prime, Hank would have made the stop.

The difference between elite hank and old hank is becoming more obvious each game. Sucks to see but it is the reality.

We should be good here. Can't play the goon game tho. Not good at it and throws all our skilled guys off.

Howden is and has been one of the most consistently bad players all season. I'm very surprised by the praise and ice time. Enough is enough. Staple him to 4th line and let him play 6 min a night.

Quinn needs to outcoach LA's p***y neutral zone bull shit.

Looking pretty good not hiring Jim Montgomery right about now

He's a grandpa at this point. If we didn't have two awesome goalies waiting to take the reign I'd be a little concerned.

The goalscorer was Staal's man there, and he was completely wide open.

I’m convinced he literally can’t see anything in his periphery and if that wasn’t bad enough, he has horrific foot speed to even attempt to make up for it. Love the guy and get why he wants to keep playing, but I think he’s being dishonest with himself and therefore inadvertently selfish by thinking he can still play NHL hockey. Just go LTIR and ride off into a staff job with the team in another year.

Maybe next time he should try not leaving a full net open for like 5 minutes. That was a terrible shift for all involved but I'm tired of the "poor Hank" complaints especially in a game where he barely saw any chances against.

Sorry bud but I'm not going to blame just Hank on that and do know I'm far from a Hank apologist. Fox f'd up and he had no chance there as Kings were bombarding him.

Bottom line is we pretty much dominated that period and at worst we should have come out of it tied up. Instead we are down one. I'm not worried at all as I think we'll break Quick a few times.

Maybe it's the hockey gods making up for the fact we should have been down 4-0 in Vegas the other night after the first and instead we ended up being up 2-0 thanks to Georgies heroics.....hmmm

Watching it again for some reason hank is already down in a kick save before the puck ever is even sent wide. Why he’s not still on his feet when before Toffoli even fires it across I don’t know but remember what I keep saying about Shesterkin and Georgiev and holding their edges. Well that’s why

oh sure enough he’s back off balance and sitting on his butt for a rebound just a minute in.

Fair, but I'd argue that Howden trying to clear Kopitar in front of Hank while Staal was already on him was the more worse read on that shift. If he peels off and covers that shooting lane, that puck may never get to Brown. Don't get me wrong, I thought Staal was just as useless on that shift since he barely gave Kopitar any trouble down low

I think you should go watch some of these other nhl teams that are CRAVING a goalie and then come back to me and say that.

Hank isn't what he used to be, but he can still play.

But yeah, he occasionally needs the assistance of a walker. I will admit that and I'm a huge homer for the guy. Father time is undefeated. etc.

I don't care if he has the periphery of a barn owl, dude sucks at everything else anyway.

He’s learning. What worked in the Finnish league, won’t work against speed, strength and the fast pace... How he is going to get better is by developing beyond this season.
