Seriously, no matter what happens, seeing the response the Canes have had down the stretch, and some of the celebrations, you gotta get hyped about the future. Even if they fall short, it feels a little different.

We cannot deny that this team makes everything possible. Yeah, it's too late probably but we should appreciate the effort, man. So many tight games, so much fight, that big streak. I'm happy.

And I've mentioned it before, but this isn't a bunch of vets playing well down the stretch, which we've had before. We have a lot of great young talent taking control.

Skinner is on the mission. Some stupid mistakes once in a while but he looks like more matured.

It's incredible. I'd hate to trade any of them away. Hope we can somehow find offensive help without giving up one of those 4 guys next season.

They are the highest scoring team in the league in March. Maybe the scoring isn't as bad as originally thought.

A factor we don't discuss much is that Jeff Skinner is almost a 500 game veteran despite his age and has never played a playoff game. He's playing like he wants that to change. Such a beautiful move to open up Columbus in that 3 on 3. He's the lone remaining player from our 10-11 team, other than Ward. I hadn't even realized that prior to just now thinking about it. He's only experienced the lean times here.

I'm impressed. I really ****ing am. I know the window is closing but they're going out with a bang and it's provocative and it's getting the people going.

With Lindholm and Aho really coming into their own in the second half of the season (remember how Aho went most of the first half of the season without scoring a goal, and now he has 20?), things have gotten much better. It would be great to add in free agency or with a trade that doesn't involve one of our top 4 D, but I'm much less concerned than I was going into next season. We will likely need to replace Stempy once he goes to Vegas, but that's doable. It also seems like Peters has also made some tweaks to the system to help keep plays alive offensively, and it seems to be working pretty well.

He's about to score #33 this year, which is career high (in 2014). Skinner is real deal, i hope he stays long time in Raleigh.

It really does feel different. This was a legitimate, hard fought win over a good team who played a near perfect road game. That's not some hot streak thing, these guys are figuring it out.

I don't think this goal scoring March is sustainable throughout an 82 game season unfortunately. Still going to hope in the offseason they seek some more skill upfront. But boy they are fun to watch right now.

I must admit, I didn't think Hanifin and Faulk would play as well together as they have. They are super dynamic together without being irresponsible defensively.
