Looking at the remaining games and the point spread...I think we have a better chance of catching Toronto than Boston. We are only four behind Boston, but because of tie breakers, need five points, which is the same for Toronto as well. And Toronto's last four games are brutal...they could easily drop all four.
I... would very much like to Aho be the the rookie forward who takes his team into the playoffs. I could do with this.
Unless those 4 teams have already locked in their playoff/home ice positions and rest stars or play backup goalies. Let's hope not.
WSH, CBJ and PIT probably all fervently want to be primarily the team who doesn't have to meet one of the others on the first round, and secondarily the team who has the home ice advantage if they have to.
WSH 110 (49): @CBJ, @TOR, vs NYR, @BOS, vs FLA
CBJ 106 (47): vs WSH, @PIT, vs WPG, @PHI, @TOR
PIT 105 (43): vs CAR, vs CBJ, @NJD, @TOR, @NYR
Washington will have to take TOR seriously, and I'd guess the other two are fighting till the end.
