Miserable season with no forwards taking steps in the right direction. Get me off this ride

Whats the dream mobile? Cant tease us thirsty fans like that?
Ha, you're right.

I always dreamed about getting a 1965 Ford Mustang GT Fastback, and came close to buying one a few years ago until we were forced to renew the electric wiring in our house (built in 1959) and the money just flew out the window with these renovation projects.

Fast forward to this year's summer and the used-car prices are spiralling out of control, as people are afraid of being able to still get regular combustion engine cars (outlawed in the EU by 2035 and most likely gone way before that), and the prices soar into 80k (Euro, mind you) territory for a halfway decent Youngtimer Mustang, but these lack head protectors, often times have no seat belts, obviously no electronic safety assistances etc., which would cost up to 50k on top for installing them up to code. Not feasible when still paying off the last ten years of your mortgage and seriously not sensible with two crotch goblins. Most model versions after Mustang I and II did not interest me much, and Mustang VI was still way too insecure and has a terrible steering, at least in the EU version.

Enter a friend of mine who, by chance, knew someone from the local Ford dealership and told me they're doing some pretty nice promo events for people changing their makes and I get to test drive the new Mustang VII. I fall in love with it, madly, and find out I might just make it happen to be able to afford it without having to break the bank.

I just got confirmation the dealer received my new 2024 Mustang GT in Race Red, with red brake holders, and manual transmission. It still has to get winter tires (which I already bought and stored at the dealership's storage facility) and be put up to code before being permitted for driving in Germany, and that won't happen in 2024 anymore. But it's there, and it's beautiful, and I can pick it up on my birthday.

P.S.: There's only one version available in the EU, and it's 95% identical with the S650 version in the States, but has 446 HP due to mandatory OPF (otto-particle filters) in Germany to lower carbon emissions compared to the states' 484 HP (I think).

Edit 2: sorry for off-topic, mods may feel free to remove my post(s).

I don't recommend watching this game unless you like the Jets... this should be a spanking. Likely 4-1 or 5-1 loss. The Jets have a stingy defense and we have the league worst offense. I actually hope for a 8-0 loss to put Cronin in the hot seat, or at least we can watch another deer-in-the-headlights interview.

Two of the Jets' best d-men are out and they're playing the back half of a b2b. Could be a Ducks victory for the taking.
