Three round draft:

11 RD David Jiricek
43 RD Elias Salomonsson
53 LD Artyom Duda
75 RW Devin Kaplan

It's going to be two to three years at least for these guys, so I don't care that I drafted a position of strength. We can make trades as needed. I like this group of picks.

Rutger McGroarty, Reiger Lorenz, Maveric Lamoureux, Kirill Dolshenkov. Depending on the availability of Russian players I might substitute Topi Ronni with the fourth pick.

In my first FC Hockey sim I got this after the Sharks won the lottery:

11. Marco Kasper - C
43. Ludwig Persson - C/W
53. Matyas Sapovaliv - C/LW
75. Fleming Maddox - RW

Kasper is a guy that I feel is very underrated. Very much in the Anton Lundell/Joel Eriksson-Ekk/Fyodor Svechkov/Danault mold of center at the draft. I think he's got the skating and potential to be a very strong 2 way player in the NHL and has the hands and shot to be a contributor on a scoring line.
Ludwig Persson is another guy that's a + level skater. Leading scorer on his J20 team. Might be a Niederbach level pick.
Sapovaliv is a long term project type player. Might be Michael Handzus reincarnated. Might be a bust.
Maddox could be another Chase Bradley or another Carter Mazur.

2nd was this:

10. Filip Mesar - C
43. Luca Del Bel Belluz - C/W
53. Jordan Gustafson - C/W
75. Danny Zhilkin - C

If Filip Bystedt, Lian Bichsel or Calle Odellius were available in the 2nd I would have jumped all over those guys.

Mesar always stands out to me for his creativity and his skating. I think he's going to be similar in the NHL to Nick Suzuki. Maybe better.
I haven't seen much of Luca Del Bel Belluz but I like what I've seen in clips and he's a + level skater. I'd like to see more of this kid for sure.
Jordan Gustafson and Danny Zhilkin seem like comparable guys that have 2nd/3rd line tweener potential by their scouting reports.

I have never used the FC draft board. Do they update at all? Noah Warren at 100 never gets drafted. Topi Roni and Kirill Dolshenkov can be taken almost at any time. Also Montreal owns Calgarys first pick I believe. Not sure of any other changes in order of picks

This team needs blue chip. I'd offer up our first 3 picks to see how high in the draft we could get

Edit: or for young center prospect

Ok. can you list all the Blue Chip players the last few years that you would have traded your 1st 3 picks for the top overall pick?

I would have for Byfield . I'd have to do some digging to see who else I'd target.

Larkin needs help at center. Most great teams have two solid centers. I don't want depth. I want great pieces we need at minimum a great #2C

Now that the draft sim is updated, I did a sim of the first round as if I were the GM of each team making the picks. These follow my current rankings pretty closely with some deviation based on team needs, but nothing too crazy.

1. MTL, Shane Wright
2. ARI, Logan Cooley
3. SEA, Frank Nazar
4. OTT, David Jiricek
5. NJ, Simon Nemec
6. PHI, Juraj Slafkovsky
7. CBJ, Conor Geekie
8. BUF, Matthew Savoie
9. DET, Brad Lambert (note: Brad Lambert is a little higher on my board, I was going to have Buffalo take him but I don't think it would be a good idea to draft him into that culture. Detroit at least has the winning expectations and some actual leaders that I can see a scenario in which Lambert develops well in Detroit).
10. ANA, Gleb Trikozov
11. SJ, Pavel Mintyukov
12. NYI, Marco Kasper
13. CBJ, Joakim Kemell
14. VAN, Liam Ohgren
15. BUF, Danila Yurov
16. WPG, Filip Mesar
17. EDM, Seamus Casey
18. DAL, Jonathan Lekkerimaki
19. LA, Jiri Kulich
20. NSH, Noah Ostlund
21. WSH, Ivan Miroshnichenko
22. STL, Calle Odelius
23. MIN, Denton Mateychuk
24. ANA, Kevin Korchinski
25. NYR, Isaac Howard
26. TOR, Cutter Gautheir
27. PIT, Rutger McGroarty
28. TB, Jimmy Snuggerud
29. MTL, Owen Pickering
30. ARI, Ty Nelson
31. BUF, David Goyette
32. ARI, Alexander Perevalov
