Some skilled centers would be neat. Probably get our annual smallish wingers and giant defenseman though.

I think this is a strong overall draft. Duda-Zhilkin-Ronni-Spacek-Vidicek are all excellent in those spots. If Vidicek can add weight/strength, he could be the Pageau of this draft.

It gets real hard for me to pay attention outside the first round. I ususally pay attention to the 10-15 players wings have a shot at with that first pick. An form familiarity on other players based on if they play with or against prospects I've tried to look at.

I hardley ever know what the hell is going on beyond the 2nd round. Straight up. lol.

C Wright/ F Savoie/ RW Yurov/ LHD Mintyukov/ C Geekie: Right now I'm fan boys of these guys and will just be satisfied if one is selected...

It can be difficult because most of the time your team just takes a guy not on your radar at all lol. Past pick 20 things get real muddy in every draft. I just find guys I think are first rounders by scanning the top 50 or so guys based on a loose consensus, and then scout those guys in depth. I'll occasionally revisit guys ranked lower to see if they've improved or I missed something.

Just did mine and if this was how it went I would be ecstatic. I only wish there was more randomness in their version of a mock draft. Anyways

10. Cutter Gauhtier (this kid can play C and has an incredible shot, 6’3 played in Michigan his whole life)
43. Adam Ingram.
53. Luca del bel beluz

I went all in on centers.

Sell me on Gauthier at 11.

Big kid, fantastic skater. Engaged in plays. Has a great shot.

When he plays center, he's looked very good.

He might end up a Krieder, but could be a Dubois.

Watched him play at center, I was impressed.

Kinda how you and I view Mesar.

Ohio (OH? IO.)
11 GEEKIE CONOR: C
43 LORENZ RIEGER: C
53 LAMOUREUX MAVERIC: D, and 6'5" SON and damn that is a mighty fine name
75 HAYES GAVIN: RW
107 JANSSON FELIX: LW my only little guy, 5'10", but stocky
125 WARREN NOAH: D and also 6'5" SON
128 BRENNAN TYLER: G, gotta take a goalie at some point, 6'3"
139 FILAK ZACH: C
203 LAMBERT EMILE: RW

Meh. Man the gaps between some of those picks seem vast. 11 to 43, 139 to 203.

I hope we do better than I did. And I hope we draft a little better than 11. We're due for some luck. (Just kidding, we'll get f*cked like we always do and draft 4 spots lower than our record would indicate for that first pick. "And the first overall goes to...The Big Market Team?!! What the what!!!")

No clue where this Gauthier at 11 talk is coming from. I would take McGroaty over him and Nazar and Howard over McG. At 11, Geekie, Nazar, Kaspar, Mesar, Howard and Miroshnichenko would all be better selections than Gauthier....

It’s called opinions, and he’s starting to shoot up draft boards. Great skater with a very great shot. Also hes big and I’ve seen him use his frame recently. I don’t see the issue you have.

Yeah, I saw him use his frame to blow up his own teammate and cost his team the game last week against Michigan....and people are scared about drafting Geekie because he's somehow the next Rasmussen....but to each their own.

Hmmm, maybe I should look into him more.
