Regarding grit/character: I would have loved to add another Maroon/Perry type of player at the TDL but it wasn’t in our cards unfortunately.

Lilleberg or Girgensons are not that.

I'd give Logan Brown a chance on the 4th line, see what he can bring.
Also I cannot wait for Howard.
Put him on the 1st line as soon as he is signed and see what he can do.

Howard - Point - Kuch
Hagel - Cirelli - Gourde
Guentzel - Paul - Bjork
Chaffee - Glendening - Brown

This way you have 2 highly skilled players on every line in the top9 and Brown could easily bring more than what Girgenson bring.

I think he was on an AHL deal but Khaira was traded to Abbotsford.

I don't think they can sign a player after the trade deadline (who wasn't on the reserve list) and have them participate in the NHL playoffs.

It's not in the CBA, or the game rules, so there seems to be additional rules that we don't really have easy access to. NHL by laws, for one.

To my memory, Ron Wilson kind of brought about this change. He'd play most of the year in Europe, but would sign with an NHL team for the playoffs. The league didn't like this, so they created the rule.

It was just one game and overall we didn't play that poorly. Vasy had a bonehead moment and had bad rebound control on the first goal. We had tons of chances and missed by inches. We didn't really play hard on the puck in either zone so not a good game but it wasn't dogshit effort. Just one of those games were weren't our best or really bad and lost. I wouldn't put too much stock in it.

I thought that was one of our worst games. We we second to every puck the opening frame.
