I agree that the play was a result of what happened in the o zone.
But I can't lay fault on anyone. That happens 3 on 3. One bounce its an odd man rush...Crosby makes an insane play it's over

I wouldn't blame anyone for anything there.

3-on-3 is generally a game of risk. Hall took a gamble to get the extra point and it backfired. I don't blame him for doing that at all.

But it's still his fault.

The game winner was the mirror image of what Hall did to Pittsburgh in the OT last time. When Crosby deflected Hall's pass, he took off up the ice looking for the breakaway pass, the same way Hall took off in Pittsburgh when Nico was battling for the puck.

Uncanny how similar those two plays were as to first Hall in Pitt, now Crosby here, as each and both went hanging towards the other clubs blue line gambling for the breakaway pass.

We play Isles at home @ 7PM when our win is over we will see a big positive change for us in the wild card standing.

Sooooo.... can't fault the effort tonight, but that ending was so damn abrupbt. It's like the Penguins copied our last OT, albeit with a slightly less amount of gap. Not gonna harp on Greene, he played it OK, but I do wonder why Vatanen didn't get first dibs on the ice.

Blame Hall on that one...

Crosby sucks. .... oh it would have been better if Zajac got him off the ice instead of losing Moore to the box...

Yeah. The more important the games seem to get, the more his worst tendencies have come out.

It wouldn't be so frustrating if it didn't seem so fixable. He just does not play a consistent, crisp game and he puts his teammates in poor positions with weak passes. My biggest criticism of him is a complete lack of empathy for the guy receiving the pass. Ultimately, his IQ has a lower ceiling than I initially thought.

The number of times he’d have multiple clearing attempts that would just end up in the skates of whatever Pen was along the wall. The number of hits he’d miss and whatever Pen with the puck would squeeze by.

His open look from the top of the circle in the 2nd... shoooooooot!!!!! Why is he looking for the pass there? He’s got a bomb, and he knows it. Just ****ing shoot!

As a fan, it’s frustrating, because you can’t tell if he’s just in his own head, or if he’s actually a low IQ hockey player.

Yeah although the way the Bruins and Lightning are going they might streak past Tampa so fast they're resting guys the last two games cause they've clinched the top slot rather than being out of it like we feared a week ago lol

There's a little light at the end of the tunnel...but we have to sweep the weekend, really no excuse not to at this point. Best case scenario is we win three in a row, they lose to Boston and Nashville in regulation and this **** is over by the end of Tuesday.

Pens fan here. Hope you guys don't hate out of town posters as much as the Caps board lol. If you do, I'll leave in peace rather than stir the pot.

Just wanted to say good season series. You guys have a ton of speed and are building your skill up nicely too. I hope we don't meet in the playoffs because we seem to have trouble matching that speed and you guys clearly have a ton of confidence against us. If this were a playoff game rather than gimmick 3 on 3 we might have lost.

Anyways, good luck the rest of the way. I hope you and Florida get in rather than the damned Flyers.

A Pens-Devils series would be fun for the rest of the NHL teams, but heart attack inducing for us.
