I've noticed that Barkov and Tkachuk play less minutes than previous years both regular season and playoffs. And that's a good thing, because:

1. It keeps them fresh
2. It means we have the depth to allow it

IMO overplaying star players can be harmful, one example being Rantanen and MacKinnon playing ridiculous minutes for Colorado the last few seasons.
