Hartnell too expensive and needs protection and I'd rather limit the number of NMC's on the team.
Kane, E. Yeah quite self explanatory here, unless the deal favours Vancouver like in a Dorsett&Sbisa for Kane deal.
D. King, yeah not paying a 2nd and a 3rd for a middle 6 LW who isn't a true scoring forward. At that price I'd rather look at Kane and his actual scoring potential.

Can Tanguay still skate? I wouldn't go near 2 million, 1 maybe.

Stafford for Cederholm, then the Jets have both brothers. Who will likely not make the big club but still...

I assume this is a sarcastic offer ...but if that were actually on the table, heck yes i'd do that easily for the Canucks. Would still have to find a way to make Stafford's salary fit though. Probably somewhere just under a million shy of fitting, depending on who else makes the Canucks roster. So there'd have to be more pieces involved anyway.

The Canucks don't have a deep prospect pool, but the prospects in that pool are mostly well above average, so yes they would be considered hot in most team's prospect pool.

None of the guys you mentioned fit that description.

No team is going to do this. Much easier and cheaper just to negotiate with Vegas about a deal instead.

They are well above average??? Really?

Who?

Boeser is a nice piece. Juolevi...looks solid. Demko might be an NHL goalie down the road....after that....??????

He said they don't have depth, and the pieces that they have are good. Read please.

it's really not doing CBJ a favor, we'd gladly keep him rather than retain or accept a cap dump

i thought he was in Torts dog house. I think you still have him because you didnt take a similar contract back or retain salary.

hartnell is better suited going to a team like Anaheim, playoffs and potential cup run.

E.Kane if Buffalo wants to move him and depending on the price. Comes with risk of course. but fits the age and style of play in a player Benning is after.

Not sure about any noteable top 6 wingers currently available. If we want a cheap option for a 1yr fill in just sign a UFA

tanguay 1yr deal 2m. Hope he can stay healthy and produce close to 50ish pts

Kane actually makes a lot of sense - good 2nd line LW (1st line if necessary), young, from Vancouver.
He could also probably be had for relatively cheap due to off ice issues.

Tanguay seems unnecessary since he's old and Vancouver isn't contending this season.

E. Kane plus year-long team VIP passes to Kane's nightclub of choice...for Ben Hutton and a buy one-get one coupon for an order of wings at Anchor Bar.

If that's not enough from Buffalo, throw in team vouchers for Kane's favorite escort service.

Lol. You spelt Sbisa and Dorsett wrong.

Yeah...so again...beyond the 3 I mentioned...who are above average? Or is that it? Depth would be 10-15 decent prospects. No depth would be 7-8.

Most people still consider. Tryamkin, Virtanen, Horvat, and Baertschi as prospects just because of their young age so that may be what he's referring to.

Benning happened. He traded away Shinkaruk and McCann already. They won't be the last to go of the new regime.

Not trading Hutton for Kane. I mean I can't say Benning won't because Benning, but there's not a single Canucks fan who would at the moment(I think...)

Apparently both of you have failed to realize the vast difference in value between 23 VIP passes to a Vancouver area night club plus 23 vouchers for an escort service, and a single buy one-get one coupon for chicken wings.

The world is not enough for some people...sad.

IMO, the Canucks will not add to LW. They have Sedin and Baertschi on the top lines and Etem and Guance in the bottom six. THe actual problem is the non Sedin lines do not have playmaking centers. The second line center will be Sutter or Horvat, both shooters.

The answer would seem to be to spread the playmakers around but the Canucks are entrenched and will not evolve their game an inch.

If Vancouver is looking for a buy-low option, Tyler Bozak might be better suited for a Wing position. His defensive track record is really bad, but he's a useful offensive player who should continue to put up 50ish points with decent linemates. He's not as attractive of an option as some of the others mentioned here, but also won't cost much and is almost certainly available. He's a RH shot though

He wants the Sedins split up...lol

Errr...okay. That seems rather daft.

I was very confused, as Baertschi is decidedly a playmaker in his own right, and Horvat is also a pretty balanced pass-shoot type guy, as is Eriksson.

Didn't register that it was about splitting up the Sedins, as that seems like a fairly insane idea.
