No, look at their cap situation. They have $6M in space with 5 rosters spot to fill just to ice a full roster. Is Duchene a lock to stay in Dallas?

He likely doesnt want to leave, but even taking $1M minimum is near impossible. They have to let him walk. Also, I believe he takes faceoffs, but doesnt really play a center position defensively anymore.I’d be shocked if he goes anywhere else.

100%, but their cap situation is brutal soon. So bad they need to rotate AHL guys in for their 9 games and send guys up and down left and right to save every penny possible. This is their big year to go for it. They get relief in 26-27 then in 27-28. but still likely may lose Robo and/or Harley for picks/prospects.He’s being paid by Nashville next season IIRC for the buyout, so if he’s not asking for some crazy amount. I can’t see him leaving.
He seems extremely happy in Dallas.
lol okThe Blues are cup contenders with a legit 2C. One that is better than Schenn so he can be moved to 3C.
What makes you think the kings would make him available?Byfield
You know it's slim pickings when people are throwing out Zegras, Donato, and Ryan Strome as 2c options ...
Unfortunately, in this case the beggars want to be choosers...but the saying doesn't go that way. When is it NOT slim pickings for a 2C? Most teams don't have two scoring line Cs, never mind an extra to spare.
