Jank is 42.86% on faceoffs, Erod (I know small sample size) is at 50%. I think Erod would be fine as the 4th C for at least a game or two.

I think this is more an indictment of Jankowski's play than anything. E-Rod's a 4th line NHLer, Jankowski looks like an AHL guy who got called up and is out of his element.

It's not even worth 35% sarcasm. Malkin's playing at an elite level. He and Kapanen have serious chemistry. Why would you saddle him with an experimental project?

At least Rodrigues is an NHL forward. He may be nothing more than a fourth liner, but he's a forward. This Riikola/Matheson to forward crap is just a fantasy.
Riiko played wing before, cause Sully is a wanker like that. And at this point Id rather have him there than eRod. Ideally you have McCann there or even better Zucker. eRod is a waste of space there. Malkin and Kap are ignoring him and he provides nothing to that line.

I actually LIKE ERod as a depth guy and someone who can occasionally step into a top six on a fill-in basis. But just like Disco... Sullivan drives me towards aggravation when it comes to some players even thought I SHOULD appreciate them for what they are.

No name goalie in net against us?

You know what that means. Either we get shut out or he has the performance of his career. Darth Vladar with the force choke on the Pens offense.

From the previous PGT...

On the Kapanen note did anyone notice how effective the gamebreaking PK for us was?

You know why? Because Rust was on it.

Same reason you put Kapanen and McCann on the PK over Janko. They pressure and the opposition has to respect their speed.

This is one of the issues I've had with our club for a while. They too often seem to default to just using our 4th line scrubs on the PK rather than use guys who can actually cause the opposition PP some fits with their speed, and the fact they're dangerous if they get a chance the other way.

Blueger/Tanev being the top PK unit is fine. After that, I wish they'd use guys like Kapanen, Rust and McCann more. Hell, go with the Crosby/Guentzel duo more near the end of the PP when the other team is either tired or frustrated at a lack of success.

So reluctant to give me credit you've removed my name from the quote eh? ;)

Rather see what Zohorna could do as that 4C. Erod is your swiss army knife fill in. I am not against him playing a little 4C but rather see Zohorna who has really impressed me in the games I have seen him. Size, skill, see's the ice well, goes to the net hard. Skates well for a big man. Honestly I saw nothing not to like.
