Wasn’t Talbot like 5 years older ?

Talbot definitely was older.

But in fairness, he was better too. Talbot had flashes of franchise potential, showed that early on with the Oilers too, and then his game completely fell apart. A shame.

I cant picture Georgiev getting anything more than a high 2nd.

Not worth it in my opinion. Value for good goaltenders is too low. Georgiev isnt close to what Talbot was for the Rangers, Talbot had a .930+ in the year he was traded, and could only garner a 2nd round pick.

I'd just keep him and Shesterkin as a 1a/1b future.

Agreed - if the only thing keeping us from having 3 goalies on the roster for a year is "OMFG! What about an extra forward like Haley?", I'm fine having 3 keepers for a season.

When Buch was playing with Lemieux and Lias last year... That's the best I've ever seen him.

Yeah, I don't buy it. If Lundqvist really was sick then the team wouldn't hesitate to call up a pretty good goalie from the AHL. Georgiev is just way more consistent than Lundqvist at this point. Henrik stood on his head a few times but for the most part hasn't been as sharp as Georgiev.

See, I view it the other way. I feel like Georgiev either stops 40 of 42 shots, or let's up 5 or 6 goals. Georgiev was a .903 just before and got hot in his last three starts to bump up is SV%.

Henrik performs rather consistent IMO, at least this season.

The FWDs need to get much tighter but that's hard to do when you have a different line-mate every 3 games

Lucky break there. Good chance if it doesnt roll off his stick its 2-1 heading into second.
