Murphy is long term meth addict.

Probert received most of that damage in the post instigator “side show” fighting era.

The last 2 are more recent players.

I understand that truth on this website is whatever is the prevailing wind of the week, but head shots and othet nasty plays are occuring more frequently than ever, and at the same time there are way less stick and roughing type injuries of yesteryear.

He was very likely a meth addict as a result of his addiction to painkillers from being an enforcer. Same goes for Chris Nilan.

You are absolutely leaving out information regarding the disproportionate brain injuries relative to enforcers versus regular players. There is a reason fighting is being removed from this sport.

You can live in some fantasy world that believes that head injuries aren't exacerbated by having the sport endorse acts of violence, but that doesn't make it legitimate.

Many players from back then could not keep up with the incredibly athletic players of today.

Yes but they would be training and using the same equipment they do now if they were in this era. Some of the players today couldnt sit by the pool all summer drinking beer and then put up 50 goals.

Weird seeing Belesky in the nhl again
