I disagree....no need to have someone with zero shooting pressure on the point on the PP. As seen when he just set up Panarin, maybe his PP role should be more down low as a set up player.....he's wasted on the point.
Fox shoots even less than DeAngelo from the point and Trouba is not nearly as good handling/distributing the puck as ADA/Fox.

It’s something that if you pay close attention to the game, you’ll notice. Fox’s passes on the power play, especially to Panarin, are always a little off for the one timer. I don’t know why. His IQ is elite of course, but that’s one of his few flaws. Nothing against him. Fox and DeAngelo are my favorite players.

****ty his whole career? Haha xD

I’ll try to “pay more attention” lol.

Second point you can’t even argue. Until recently, he has been a total fail. Anyway, he’s been better. Hopefully he keeps it up ;)

How does Howden make passes like that burns sometimes can’t make a simple pass in the neutral zone?

I don’t think so. His wrist shot creates chances. He just has to be more consistent in creating lanes.

anyone's wrist shot can create chances if it gets through. I'd rather have a heavy shot from the point (yes, Trouba has been shooting wide a lot....that can create chances just as much as a limp wrister that gets easily defended away).

Quite the opposite in my opinion. He has been great this whole year until recently. 4 or 5 out of the last 6 or so games, he hasn’t played very well. And he was great for most of last year. I can’t argue because what do you say to someone who is objectively wrong about this?

I said he’s been shitty in his career, not this year.

These off games may be more common going forward. Or maybe he’s turning the corner.

DeAngelo is crazy exciting, in both the offensive and defensive zone. Even for all his faults, I’m game to give him $4.5m long term. His offensive creativity is better than most forwards in the league.
