Really? I see him directing pucks into corners on most of these long shots that Lundqvist seems to just put in the slot at times.

He's kicked it out towards the circles a few times in the 1st. I think the Rangers generally tend to defend better with the backup in net. Not nearly as many odd man rushes given up when the backup starts compared to when Hank starts. In fact, I believe one of our defensemen actually admitted this last year and said they play a little looser in front of Hank.
