carlyle is/was a terrible coach, but at least he had a clue about what he was doing behind the bench. cronin is completely clueless and it shows in how lifeless the team looks. a guy who was touted as a "developmental coach" shouldn't be seeing most of his young talent regress. like i said, he should be fired simply for his usage of killorn

and in no way am i advocating that they fire cronin for carlyle

Carlyle would be too busy telling our players to quit playing hockey than to actually develop them. Don’t just settle for just better than what we have. There are modern coaches out there who could elevate us I’m sure.

I have very little to no doubt that Carlyle would be getting a lot more of our young guys than Cro. The list of guys who came up with Randy and had good and even great careers is pretty long. Maybe not your quintessential “developmental coach” but far from a slouch in that regard.

Def not advocating bringing RC back but he’s a much, much higher calibre of coach than Cro.

The notion that the vets have given up is interesting to me. You think Strome, Gudas, Killorn, etc came here to win and play great hockey? They came here for nice weather and some money. That’s it.
