Should have had a two minute five on three.

That said, we need to make them pay for all of their penalties. Rask has let in two shaky goals. Get pucks to the net and challenge him.

I still feel that we didn't generate enough to warrant two goals. I'd like to see us get into a second gear next period.

Yeah seriously, Kelly got away with a blatant two-hander right in front of the ref.

Unbelievable.

Fun but dumb period, our coverage in the D zone is terrible.

Great to see Nash using his size and skill in front of the net, need more of it. Can't say enough about how good McD is, great to watch at both ends of the ice.

Will be interesting to see how we play the 2nd now that we have the lead

Special team net 2 goals last game. Let other team act as first pp unit next game.

Well, cant argue with crazy logic

This team needs to learn how to make a saucer pass.

The problem is for the most part so far, the ice has been AWFUL during Ranger games. Maybe it's because we've been playing in mostly warm weather climates so far, but the ice has been awful and the puck has been bouncing all over the place. I wouldn't be comfortable at all trying a bunch of saucer passes, because it's more likely to bounce over the player's stick than actually make contact with it.

That's just how I view things at least.

Staal has been really, really bad the last few games...and has not been himself right from the beginning of the season. I'm hoping it's part of the process and he'll start progressing and getting better as the season goes along. I'd hate to think that with his vision issues, this is the type of player he'll be moving forward. That would be such a shame, he is a phenomenal talent.

Girardi not even coming close with his shots this game.

I've always been a fan of Girardi, still am, but I don't get why he has ALWAYS been on the PP for us. Moore, Del Zotto, McDonagh and Stralman are all better options. Del Zotto isn't playing today, so I wouldn't mind having our point men on the PP be Moore, McDonagh, Stralman, and Richards.

Can we just say the other unit is the first PP because Girardi just makes the other unit obsolete.

On another note: So happy Mr. Universe is back in the league. His interviews are wonderfully awkward

D. Moore is, in my opinion, such a great asset to have on this team. He's great on the 4th line.

Stralman never plays the powerplay and very rarely has during his time here. I don't really understand why.
22 seconds per game this year. 1:04 per game last year. 1:12 the year before. Typically about 4th most of our pointmen. More than I thought actually.

Yes. He compliments Dorsett and Boyle so well. Has been one of our best PK'ers, and is as quick as I remember.

Too bad Pyatt is there instead of Dorsett.

Wanna know how many goals McDonagh has?

The humid sub-tropical climate in Boston is definitely not doing the Rangers any favors.
