You watch Winnipeg and they move the puck around and create space. The Rangers just cycle along the boards over and over and over again.

This team is a total messs offensively. This is so post jagr - renney's team all over again.

This team is Awful on odd man rushes......never a scoring chance arghhhh !!

You get the feeling they really don't practice offense too much....

It's, defense, defense, defense, defense, oh...................and defense.

Back when Tampa won the Cup, the celebration parties that summer, well... they got pretty wild. Richards, being the successful young scamp that he was at the time, was right there, in the thick of it all, and he documented EVERYTHING. Well... among the many other unspeakable acts of victory driven indulgence that took place, Torts got himself right in the middle of a mostly male, some female (though Mrs. Tortorella was nowhere to be seen...) violent, drug fueled orgy and Brad Richards own the only photographic evidence that it ever took place. He's been blackmailing Torts ever since. His first demand was a nice fat retirement deal wherever Torts found himself coaching. The next has been to remain a first line player no matter how badly he dogs it and chooses to neglect all things like practice, exercise and giving a damn. Who knows what will be next.

You have won the thread.

Still waiting for this guy to show up this year

Hell if the Caps can come back and win it after trailing 2 down surely the Rangers could turn this around!

LETS GO RANGERS:yo:

Why oh why John Tortorella did you break up the one line that was consistently producing all season?

Isn't it known that he's a wild card?

Didn't he invite the team over for meatball subs, then when they got there he asked if they liked spaghetti, and when they sat down for dinner he told them that he's almost done making a turkey sub?

Winnipeg's 2nd goal was pretty lucky. I wish the Rangers could fine some luck. All season we just cannot score. How many times have the Rangers missed the night tonight?

I wonder how many more years Lundy will go through with this? LOL..... Like Hasek, hes gonna have to win one later in his career.

with all due respect.........stop drinking so heavily. you are speaking jiberish

Saturday is going to be sickening to watch.

Look at how they are playing vs Buffalo and the Peg?

In fairness, though... Buffalo played their best game in a month against the Rangers. And the Jets are really no slouches. Medium skill with lots of heart.

You know what's funny, after the Nash trade, we've worsened as much as the CBJ have improved...

They're in playoff contention without Nash and are having their best year in years. We go from a Conference leader to a bubble team with him.

And I'm not criticizing Nash, he's had a solid season with us. Just observing.

I think we've lost too much depth with role players like Dubinsky, Anisimov (both involved in the Nash trade), and lost role players like Prust (probably didn't re-sign for $2.5 million to clear cap space for Nash) and Fedotenko.

Team defense looks just as bad as the offense tonight. Far too many turnovers and careless play in our own zone and the neutral zone. And of course opposing forwards are allowed to sit on Hank's lap as if he's Santa Claus.

This is one of those games where I'm constantly shaking my head, angry to be watching, and where their poor play puts me visibly in a bad mood.

God damnit.

That's the key right there. To get a favorable bounce the puck generally has to be going somewhat towards the direction of the net.

People talk about how Torts deserves a full season based on last season's ECF. What if I told you that the ECF appearance was with a different team that fits Tort's game and this team doesn't. Coaches aren't all purpose. A coach is no different than a player. Some fits its counterpart better than others. What if I told you that last season was an overachieving season where our bottom 6 guys really anchored us and we won a lot of close games thanks largely to our goaltender's .930 1.96GAA season? What if I told you Torts is not that great of a coach? BB went from Washington to the Ducks and had success. KH went to STL where the lineup suits his game.

This is a team JT created and he did great work for years but it's really time to move onto a system that ****ing wins championship. 5 of 6 teams in the last 3 SCF: Flyers, Canucks, Hawks, Bruins, Kings: high goal scoring teams + stellar goaltending from Quick and Thomas. We rolled on Henrik but we need offense. Without Henrik, we would have lost 1st round.

The hopes and dreams, living and dying with the team, and general shock and lack of understanding about the Rangers various ineptitudes I read about on here really bring a tear to my eye. It reminds me of being young like most of you and not having come to terms with the fact that the Rangers are doomed to perennially wallow in mediocrity. Trust me young lads, things get a lot easier once you come to terms with that and learn to curb your expectations.

I've been writing the whole game. The Jets are playing like the Devils on our breakouts with 2-1 advantage along the boards.

The Rangers need to start utilizing the middle of ice if they want to get out of the zone cleanly. The Jets are pinning the Rangers in their own end.

Torts is not adjusting to Jets game plan.
