Sorry if this shouldn't be its own thread, not sure what thread I could post it in. I bought tickets for the 25th Anniversary game this Friday. I know they announced that everyone attending would get this replica ring.

When I bought the tickets, I was told that they were going to have some special things planned that night, potentially before the game. Was anything sent out to tickets holders explaining what might be going on? I can't find anything on the internet.

The only thing they told us was that the ceremony was going to be on the 10th.

theres a whole ceremony starting at 6:15 - other than that idk

Thank you, this is what I was trying to find out. The game starts at 8:00pm that night, would the ceremony likely be at 7:15 then? When does the Garden typically open the doors?

Ordinarily the doors open an hour before game time but the email we were sent says doors open at 5:30.

Other info you might be interested in is chase card will give you 25% off commemorative tees and showing a chase card at an 8th avenue entrance will get you a 25% voucher for concessions.

Thanks for the heads up. I am a bit bummed the Ceremony is on the 10th. I live in SE Pennsylvania, so I typically go to 1 game a year. I choose the game on the 8th in the hopes to see the 94 team together. I guess its cool to get that replica ring, but that wasn't the reason I chose this game.

Apologies for my confusing comment. The ceremony is on the 8th. I was just still whining about the fact that they originally told us the ceremony was the 10th and I decided to sell the game on the 8th before we were notified of the change.

That is crappy thing to do :/

Instead of marking the anniversary of a cup, why not just try to win the ****in thing again?

Not into this whole idea..it has been 25 years and we have been to the final just one time since then...actually that is the longest final appearance drought in team history we went from 1994 until 2014 in between finals appearance, that is longer than any other time period in team history...this is a pretty embarrassing celebration

Why does that "We Will Win Tonight" pin say May 6, 1994 instead of May 25, 1994?

Complain all you want, but teams everywhere do this. Penguins just had a 10-year anniversary party of the team that won the Cup in 2009

Its still lame. But 10 years is less lame than 25 and certainly less lame when you've won it since. Really just celebrating 3 quarters of a century of bad management and bad ownership.

If they didn’t celebrate the 1994 team on a regular basis, I might have interest in this. It’s a lot like the 1986 Mets. I guess that’s how it goes when you root for an incompetent franchise.
