The Hagelin, Brassard, Pouliot threesome had no chemistry. If they put Callahan on that line it might spark some offense. Callahan has not looked himself of late. Less hitting, less involved. Maybe a decrease in minutes will let him focus his energy.

Ideally I would, but the way Brassard is playing, there's no way you can have him centering the first line. Maybe - just maybe - you can try him with Zuccarello and Kreider, since he has decent chemistry with both guys, and then do Richards-Stepan-Nash, but I dunno. I'm no fan of rewarding guys who keep playing badly with more ice time.

I think Brass has been playing much better/confident lately. Don't see how pairing him with Richards and Nash could make our offense any worse.

that is a good thing.. at least us fans know he wouldnt score the game winner tonight for the Panthers. Gomez hat trick :help:
Hopefully Florida is playing their best goalie and not some scrub that can't stop the puck.

[/Rangers fan logic]

Brassard has been a bust this season, i'm not confident he'll get going at the level he was at last year at all.

LGR.

He's been brutal but I'd still like to see him get a chance with Nash. Maybe playing with him and increased minutes gets him going. Worth a shot since we're not scoring at all.

I predict that tonight will be the night of the Boyle.

3 goals, 2 assists, 1 fight. 0 approval from this forum.

Callahan hasn't looked himself since early 2012. Not sure how people haven't noticed this yet.

If you watch a game of his when he was first named captain and compare it with one now you will be amazed. He's living off of a reputation at this point (that's not to say he's bad).

ill also just post the preemptive excuses so we don't have to do it later in the GDT...

Unsustainable low SH%
Hank is elite
breakaways are free goals (for the other team)!
their goalie has bloated chest guard. way too puffy.

Because the team is going to keep shooting at 5%?

2-1 Panthers. The two Florida goals will be cheap garbage, the Rangers will have more than double the Panthers' shots, and I'll break my tv.

He's 4th among Ranger forwards in ES + PP ice time, so...

You're using total TOI, not ES TOI/G and PP TOI/G where he's actually 7th in each. In our past 10 games, his most common linemates at ES have been Pouliot, Dorsett, Hagelin, and Boyle. For the record, I haven't been impressed by Brassard at all this season, but it's easy to argue that he hasn't gotten a fair shake recently.

So AV is linking performance to ice ice? Well I never...

Posting now the obligatory Brian Campbell goal. Scott Gomez with the assist. Hopefully the Rangers win. Last time they faced them, was too close. Light up Thomas please

AV is finally going for the top 9 I've been clamoring for, let's hope Hagelin and Nash can rekindle their chemistry from last year.

Also, the Panthers are the only team with a lower 5v5 close PDO than the Rangers, I didn't think that was possible!

This should be a pretty easy win, but in the words of Sam Rosen "Hey, you never know!".
