I really liked the quote from Boyle, hopefully he continues to help the team roll along here. This is the first game of the second half, time to dig in here fellas, let's get home-ice for the playoffs and maintain a hot streak, LGR!!

stop drew stafford and we win

This made me laugh out loud. The $4M/yr. lethargic pansy is far from a concern for opponents, he of the 2 goals and 7 assists. Surely you're being sarcastic.

Nothing to worry about here. Should be an easy Blueshirts win - a one goal game, sure, because that's all we play this year. But we haven't been in any of them, even the wins. 3-2 Rangers, but in dominating fashion.

Drew Stafford must have been stifled out of an autograph by a Ranger when he was younger because the man is some kind of God when you guys play us.

If you're curious:

- Foligno, who played great last season in earning a full time spot, looks complacent beyond description, and had more hits in game #79 of last year than he does this season

- our best player is nursing some sort of injury (Vanek) and hasn't shown up in the last ten games. Looks horrendous, hurt or not.

- Miller has been letting in Alex Karpovtsev backhanders from the red line, unscreened, with high frequency

- Tyler Myers is so ****ing bad at hockey

- the guy who has played with the most snarl the past two weeks is 5'4 when standing on a few phone books (Gerbe)

Just rag doll the **** out of us, please, and expedite the necessary deadline fire sale of Leopold, Regehr, and Stafford, if anybody would take them

Any prior notions are invalid for this season IMO. We are bad.

And Stafford might be the worst of the bunch this year. Totally maddening. He has the tools to be a perennial 30goal scorer, but has done nothing this year. The antichamber

If Stafford is traded to the Rangers will he then score on everybody?

I can't tell. People will point to his shot total and try to proclaim that he's "due to explode," but any dopey winger can take non-threatening, fluttering wrist shots from inside of the blueline with no traffic to pad a shot total.

It is way beyond a funk for him. He had been, in seasons prior, a streaky scorer... But there's just nothing there this year. Tired of riding that wave, and totally ready for him to be someone else's frustrating inconsistency.

How's Pomminville?

How's Pomminville?

Good start to the year, "Invisiville" for at least the last 10 games. I think it has been ever since Vanek came back from the brief time out with injury, but that's a guess. Could be longer than that.

Also, though unrelated to our discussion here, Pominville is so maddeningly overrated defensively - particularly on the Sabres' board - that it aggravates me a lot.

As you can probably surmise, I'm quite agitated on all fronts right now.

If you're also curious, the handful of bright spots lately:

- Hodgson continues to produce, and he looks like he will end up being a quality top-6 NHL center

- Brian Flynn has looked very good in his time with the big club

- Sekera is having a pretty good year, and goes widely unheralded year in and year out

- Rolston plays the guys who deserve to play, when they deserve to play. A welcomed change compared to Ruff's unwavering loyalty to "his guys" regardless of performance

I love the negativity. If you ever decide to convert to the Rangers, you'd fit right in.

They'll always be my second team simply because of exposure. Born and raised down here, and if Dad wasn't such a diehard Buffalonian and left me a choice growing up, I'd probably have been a Rangers fan. Crease and Muh can vouch for me

The negativity is a Buffalo mindset, though. Between the Bills since I was twelve, and the Sabres the last five or six years, I've forgotten entirely what it could be like enjoying a successful sports team.

My Yankees love is a distant fourth to my love for the Knicks, which is a very, very distant third to my obsession with the Sabres and Bills. So I am a lover of losing teams. Again, Muh and Crease can vouch for me there.

Obligatory we will lose/Boyler hat trick. Maybe both.

We must not get away from board battles and winning the small battles. Our games are very controlled, too controlled to be losing control over what we are suppose to have dominant control over. Must play hard every night to win the small battles to win the big battles to win the game. Battle battle battle.

I kind of like the Sabres, but if I didn't, I don't I could trash-talk them right now. It'd be like stepping on a 3-legged hungry puppy's tail. It would just look at you with those sad eyes.
