The coach is a problem, but the real problem is the lack of real talent. Besides Fox and maybe Trouba, the defensive talent is horrendous and besides Panarin, there is no real threat in this forward crew. Talent is just not there!
Trouba is not talented whatsoever. I’m sorry. I’m REALLY trying to like him but he just can’t play good hockey consistently. And when he does play well, it’s 4 mil a year well, not 8 mil.

I still can't believe we got rid of Lundqvist, an all time Ranger great, more than capable to back up Shesterkin, for Georgiev. The most inconsistent goaltender we have had in a long time. Raanta, Talbot were miles ahead of him on the Rangers. The last time we had a goaltender play this poorly, and this is not a knock on him because I love him as an analyst, was Valiquette.

We lost Lundqvist. We didn't trade him, we didn't get any assets for him [probably could have gotten a 2nd round pick], and now whatever the return is when we inevitably do trade him will be for a bag of pucks. Disappointed in Georgiev.
Lundqvist was never going to be a backup.

I’ve never been more disappointed by this team

so excited to finally watch us have a team full of top prospects and a couple of elite veteran forwards something we NEVR have and this is some of the worst hockey I’ve seen us play ever. I mean it ever. Miserable team to watch.

Let's be real, most people here thought he was after last season.

Great comparison. Seriously. I think this team’s mentality and leadership core is piss poor and mentally fragile. An absolute polar opposite to say the Boston leadership group.
And Boston is good but they aren't world beaters but look at the attitude that team brings to 95 percent of their games.
No Carlo tonight. They lost Chara and Krug. Yet they bring it.

Team Xanax. Such loser answers. Moral victories. Didn’t let it get ugly. Pathetic.

These responses by Rangers players give off a troubling "I'm not gonna let it ruin my weekend" vibe.

Agreed. This is the kind of thing I worry about when I talk about teams with a losing culture. There's a world of difference between not letting a loss get in your head and not giving a f*** about fixing the problems at all. Last season, these guys were more towards the former. This year, especially lately, they seem to be drifting more and more towards the latter.

I don’t think replacing the coach will fix all the issues but having one that is somewhat more competent would certainly be a step in the right direction haha

We all know he's a dick. I don't give a frig who loves him. He's a crap teammate; wears out his welcome everywhere he goes. I know, it's everybody else's fault. Your defense of him says alot about you.
Dude I never gave a shit about his personality until everyone else did. You’re the dick for saying that with no evidence and assuming I’m a POS for defending him.

Exactly what I'm saying. this team is not very talented! How many teams would have Chilte(spelling) and Howden as their top 2 centers, that is simply horrible!!

been reading about so many prospects who “played with men”

well, these are real men and this was another episode of MEN vs Boys
