Laf looks terrible. Too far away from the play. Not hunting pucks down or moving his feet to catch up to the play. He's always watching and never joining anything. Wtf is this all about?

he's def just literally a step behind and will need to put in a lot of work on that in the offseason to add some burst. but he's not as slow as hes looked, his acceleration is where the issue is - so plays where its a short race to a puck he gets caught in between. he can more than keep up once he's in flight, but then it looks like confidence is an issue. like you can see some games just going to fast for him and theres nothing intinctive. but yea i dont think its effort the way it might look, i think its more deer in headlights and more thinking than playing. i will def agree though he does look bad - in the sense he's just struggling right now and not really adding anything, maybe a game or two off might help him reset. the other side is, being 19 and having always been an emotional player the last 2 games and tonight don't help him. no one is bringing any energy and hes not a guy thats going to make that difference yet. at this point i think part of the issue is georgiev, he just can't make a save and it sucks the life out of a team. and where i think quinn is trying to show confidence in the kid and help him battle through it at some point you have to consider the cost to the rest of the group watching him give up deflating goals that just can't go in when youre struggling and can't make a big save either.

and as i type laf loses control of a gift...thats just confidence. better days are ahead...hopefully. just probably not this year
