If you ask me, I don't do it if thats the price. I think Pasta can be something special. Not that Drouin can't, but Pasta is already electrifying from time to time.... all he needs is a little more strength and to get more comfortable and the kid is going to go off.

And we already own Pasta and frankly two things about Pasta that say keep him-he's big (well skinny still but can muscle up some especially given his age) and he isn't afraid of contact. Those are two things that will serve him well in addition to those silky hands. He is one of the Shiftiest passers in the team right now.

Considering Pasta has more points in less games, that'd be a tough pill to swallow.

Not saying Drouin isn't going to be great, but Pasta has backed up his professional game so far without the drama.

My bad, just noticed it was Haggs that was saying Pasta would need to be included.

Funny, it's how I picture what it's like to be a young offensive defenseman under Claude lol

I doubt Claude is going to play him in the top 6 right away after Drouin's sat out of hockey the past couple months

Solid point:

Beleskey - Krejci - Pastrnak
Marchand - Bergeron - Connolly
Drouin - Spooner - Hayes
Ferraro - Kemppianen - Talbot

Chara - XXX
Krug - McQuaid
Morrow - Seidenberg
Miller

?

What would have to be given up for him? Pasta?

Personally, I'd only include Pasta if the return were a legit #2/3.

Not saying this could happen, but something like:

Loui, Pasta, CM/Morrow & a 2nd

For

Spurgeon/Scandella and a first

Yeah, just like Kessel.

I love Bergeron with the blazing heat of a thousand suns, but he's not a fairy godmother.

Godmother no, but good old brother with experience yes
With french connexion .
If bergy is next captain, it is time to take other responsability

Not to mention that Pasta has a tremendous attitude and work ethic. You don't learn that - you're made that way.

No, man. That's way overpay for either of those guys. I could see a deal involving Pasta for a D, but it would have to be someone with far more upside than either of those. Would have to be someone with legit #1 upside.

That is more likely until he proves more. With him sitting out this long and his NHL track record, I just don't see him having a positive impact wherever he goes this season. Next season is a different story though

Maybe drop the 2nd and change the prospect to a lesser one...Trotman?

Consider it this way.

Loui will walk and either Minny player significantly bolsters the defense.

Looking ahead.....it's much easier to replace a forward in FA than it is to come up with a legit 2/3.

Report: Bruins not mulling over trade deadline, Neely and Sweeney at odds after Neely refused to pay taxes on Sweeney's monopoly property during their game.

Sweeney was seen leaving being quoted as saying "What, he can afford to want to extend Loui but not pay my taxes? What a ****"

gotta fill the dead air somehow.
