I recall that Scott Stevens game….5 assists….I think I was listening on radio, maybe not, was at home….lol…10-3 Caps win.

Ovechkin goal!

That Ovie ENG will surely trigger the main boards.
I’m here for it….

OV's goal assisted by John Carlson's stupid ass decision to join the rush when winning by 2 goals. Thanks John, smoke another doobey on OV's dime.

My game puck goes to Andrew Mangiapane for two beautiful primary points.

HMs to Aliaksei Protas, Tom Wilson, Lars Eller, Nic Dowd. And of course one more HM to Alex Ovechkin for a buzzer beater!

He did have himself a game! well deserved.

I cannot express enough how much I love Protas, PLD, and Willy.

Agree with the HMs but overall a good team win tonight in general.

Maybe it's homer-vision but if we don't have the "oops, I crapped my pants" moments, Caps dominated this game. Got solid D when needed, outstanding net minding and offensive zone play. (MOSTLY) damned good game. On to two more in the City-Of-Hate on Thursday.

Was at the game tonight. Light crowd but good energy. I closely watched Mangiapane, Frank, and McMichael.

I thought Mangi had his best game as a cap. Gives that fourth line someone who can carry the puck and score although he has missed a few this year as well.

McMichael did NOT look good. made some careless plays. Missed some pucks. We should definitely upgrade that top 6 slot. I worry he’ll be worse on third line with nobody creating for him.

Frank continues to impress but he gets lost out there. He can get to places fast but he doesn’t seem to know where to go. If he can figure out to move without the puck he will be good.

This all is what I saw on TV.

Mikey is LOST. He had a hot start last year too (remember the McProMo line?), then regressed terribly. Leading us all to think Lappy could be better.

Not sure what the deal is - conditioning, or he’s just not that good, I dunno. But his game and body language are both terrible. Would love an upgrade in the top 6.

Great game by Mangiapane. I know a lot of us have been underwhelmed by what he’s brought to the table this year but you can never have too many smart hockey players, sometimes it’s just a matter of figuring out where they fit in best.

that zone entry > feed on the 6 on 5 was a thing of beauty

Great win.

Encouraging sign that both Eller and Mangiapane had their best games of the season against the best team in the East.
