24 25 Wolves Bison Talk

Levin, is that you? How did your roster work out last year?

Of course, AHL rosters turn over every year and it's possible Wolves turnover will be extensive.

Several Wolves players have their ELC's expiring this year including Suzuki, Gunler and Seely. Honka's too but he is overseas. I wonder if any of them will be back?

Statistics say that he's VERY incorrect about the Canes Prospects.
There's 31 other teams competing for the same trophy every season which makes it VERY HARD to win the Calder Cup. In fact, Milwaukee has owned the Central the last 2 seasons ( and this season) and STILL hasn't won the Calder in 2 decades. The other thing is. How many more affiliations do the Wolves want to burn through?. Winning is the top priority, I 100% agree with it but stick to one organization as this isn't the 90's, it's 2025 where development and winning is on everyone's priority list!

In terms of prospects, the hurricanes have a great development pipeline. Look at how many players have been playing great this season. Morrow and Nadeau have been playing awesome all season long but there's other great ones like Suzuki, Jaaska, Fensore, Robidas, Brind'Amour. That's 7 PLAYERS RIGHT THERE! that have been great all season long. The rest are playing decent this season but clearly are a bit behind but that's what the AHL is for. It's to develop those players in a winning environment so they could one day play for a team like Boston or Vegas!

I guess the guy deleted his post but it makes no sense. The Wolves went 31 of 32 last year. This year they are a playoff team. Will they go far? Maybe or maybe not, but they showed they can't win without the Hurricanes. Frankly as @Derailed75 says, know your role and shut your mouths you jabronis.

Nadeau is having a fantastic season. He's first in rookie goal scoring and second in points, which is good for fifth and twelfth among all players. There's a good chance he'll win the AHL rookie of the year, which would make him the first Canes draft pick to win since Shane Willis. Other former AHL rookies of the year the Canes have acquired include Logan Stankoven, Nathan Gerbe, Patrick O'Sullivan, and crowd favorite Mikko Rantanen.

Nadeau’s shot is already above average NHL quality perhaps bordering on elite. AHL playoffs & another off season of workouts hopefully get him physically ready for the grind.

Add Artamonov in ‘26 or ‘27 (I saw a posted workout picture of him and he is already built like a truck) and Canes young squad window is quite bright.

Badinka getting games with coverage in a 7d lineup to show he can play our system on nhl sized ice before trying to make the jump next season……. Lots of right shot d options coming along in the next couple years….. CAL trying to be the new Pesce defensive dman, Morrow the offensive dman and Badinka trying to be a little bit of both….. big frames as well……
