Unless the Wings just bomb out the rest of the way to the deadline I don't see them selling. I don't see Kane being traded period. I don't think he is desperate to chase a cup, and I think he has a NMC. It'd also be too big a blow to the guys, even though I question his fit sometimes.

Tank could be dealt but I don't consider that selling as he just hasn't fit well with the team. Clearing his spot for next season and maybe gaining a bit of cap space would be solids for this year.

If we sell I would anticipate it to be Veleno, Chiarot, Fischer, and possibly Gus (I doubt they'd deal Chia and him at once). Lyon or Talbot could also be maybes. If Talbot were dealt I'd anticipate them resigning Lyon prior.

I mostly agree with your response about the Berg & a 1st for Cozens deal. The only wrench could have been the difference between a protected and unprotected 1st. I could see Stevie having been hesitant to deal a 1st that might have been top 10 prior to Todd's hiring. Now the deal may not appeal to Buffalo as our 1st is currently looking at being a much more mid round pick.
Ya I don't see kane being mover either unless we lose a bunch now and he decides to move on

I agree with the names in play to be moved and can probably include a compher Rasmussen for cap purposes if we made a big deal

I dont think anyone will trade an unprotected 1st for cozens I just think theres 0 chance berggren alone would be enough to entice buffalo + theres cap issues to make the deal work as well

I'd try to send them quantity over quality and hope they bite (probably wont)

1st + berggren+ compher+ wallinder+mazur or plante ... I'd try the first 3-4 pieces first , add a 3rd round pick instead but I'm guessing some young prospect will have to go

I know most fans like the last 2 prospects but we have buchelnikov finnie lombardi nygaard kiiskinen as well and I like they're upside more

Offload Tarasenko on San Jose or something and you've got the cap space for Cozens. Maybe try and get buffalo to eat at least 1m

Byram, Samuelsson, Dahlin, and Power are all lefties in Buffalo. I'm not sure Wally would have much interest to them. If this is reflective of what everyone would offer for Cozens, though, I'm also not sure why they should move him.

Having neither Thompson nor Cozens look like good fits at center has really hurt them.

Just throwing out there that Petry, Tank and Kane have NTCs. Compher, Chiarot, Holl, and Copp all have 10 team NTCs.

I can't see any of these guys outside of maybe Holl being ok going to a cellar team. I'm fairly certain Buffalo is going to be on all of those guys No Trade lists. I don't see Yzerman going full Drury level toxic GMing to force them into waiving either.

Your probably right. Would need a 3rd team ... I would think colorado would take compher back with mittledstat but sabres wouldnt take him

Wed have to find a 3rd team to be involved with

Petry isn't going anywhere, as he stinks and is injured well past the deadline. The cap going up makes moving Compher and or Copp not as hard as it was, though that would be a post season move. 10 teams isn't that many as that still leaves another 21 teams a player can go to. You can also get players to waive for certain teams if you can convince them. The only NTC/NMCs that are real issues are half/full ones.

Don't expect any of the blockbusters that a lot of people seem to want. They're one injury away from having both Holl and Lagesson in the lineup, and maybe Rafferty as the No.7. That's not something I imagine appeals to them and doesn't need a big trade to prevent happening. Tarasenko perhaps with retention or non-1st round pick for a bottom pair D who can play 15 mins and PK seems feasible to me.
