Yup agreed miller is the only ranger I'd be looking at. We have Albert who's 6 feet now dont need to add another smallish dman with no offensive upside.Yeah, no. The only D that I'm semi-realistically looking at from NY is Miller. He fits our needs to a T. Lindgren is just more bargain bin shopping and hoping that a 3rd pairing guy can be a 2nd pairing in a pinch. We have too many of those already. Only time Lindgren has looked semi-respectable is when Fox is dragging him up and down the ice.

And when Fox and Shesterkin were having Norris/Vezina finalist level seasons. The Rangers were one of the top teams in the league with Ryan Lindgrin on their top pair.
Im not banging the table for him but he has a history as a good complimentary piece in the top half of the lineup. It would be an unsexy move but could be a solid pickup.
lol - no - its a pipe dream - we’ll have RFAs like Ed looking for a raise.Lay it out and do the math.
Man do I regret this one. My bad guys, I won't compliment him again.Who do you move out of the 6 D spots for Lindgren? The arrow is pointing up on just about everybody in the D core since T-Mac's arrival. Chia, way better, Gus, way better, AlJo finally showing his promise. Holl hasnt been terrible either.
Will it last? Probably not, but no sense messing with it for Lindgren, not to me anyway.
This wouldn’t even be remotely close. For Elias Pettersson.

Something like that ^ would be enough, correct?
And roughly speaking, tolerable, right?
Someone's offering more? This wouldn’t even be remotely close.
Yeah…Unfortunately this isn’t EA Sports NHL 25.This wouldn’t even be remotely close.
If something reasonable we offer them isn't their best offer.....if someone else is stupid.....great, let them be stupid. Put the full-court press on Rantanen/Marner.Yeah…Unfortunately this isn’t EA Sports NHL
NHL Rumors: Red Wings interested in Rangers' important player to help star Patrick Kane
The New York Rangers are looking to make changes to their roster and star Patrick Kane's Detroit Red Wings are reportedly interested in bringing in a significant player from the New York franchise with the goal of bolstering their squad for the 2024-25 NHL season.bolavip.com
Ryan Lindgren is on an expiring contract, trading for him might be cheaper than others because of it, but it's a risk he won't resign.
Trade Pitch Has Red Wings Acquiring Star $73 Million Forward in Blockbuster
A trade pitch has the Detroit Red Wings acquiring Mathew Barzal from the New York Islanders in a blockbuster deal.heavy.com
Author might be getting wild on that theoretical Barzal deal. That'd blow some heads around here for sure, not even sure how the money would work, Barzal is 9.1 million and Red Wings have 1.1 million in cap... Something has to give. You'd have to throw a player like Rasmussen(3-4 million in cap) and have Islanders cover some money for the year.
"the Red Wings would be interested in signing left defenseman Ryan Lindgren as Kane’s new teammate"
This reads like some AI.
Damn, did you write that? Nice skills. That's the rumor from the other website. Not from heavy.
I do appreciate your bold and completely confident conviction while being completely wrong though.
Barzal would worry me more than Cozens. His top 3 point producing seasons were 85 points (rookie year), 80 (last season), then 62 his sophomore season. To carry a 9.1 mil cap hit against that production is mind boggling.might be getting wild on that theoretical Barzal deal.
