K'Andre Miller's progression has been on a two year downward trend, and has been pretty bad this year. Don't want. Would rather a Wallinder or Buium continue to develop to take a potential spot then deal for Miller.

JT Miller has had problems with teammates on every team he's been on. I also don't feel like his game will age well. Give me Pettersson. Give me Cozens if the price is right. I don't want to pay what Miller will cost just to have him getting in fights with Larkin and Raymond in 6 months.

Petterson not Miller and I'd do it
 
No to JT Miller. Stupid to spend assets to acquire him at his age when he'll be too old and less effective by the time the team is really in their window.

Maybe to Cozens, if the price is right. Willing to take the risk if buying low.

Hell yes to Pettersson. Players like him rarely become available and he would resolve the greatest missing piece left in the rebuild.
 
If we can maintain Pettersson and Larkin down the middle and our entire d core then we’re competing for championships

Not sure what you’re getting at. Petterson isn’t getting Raymond. Ray provides nearly the same offensive game but has a much better contract and isn’t causing anybody locker room issues. Guys on the trade block never have the trade value they would in a vacuum.
 
I’ve always loved Peterson game such a headsy player reminds me of datsyuk with his handles. I think he’s just a quiet guy who has played hurt in the playoffs and got dragged for it. Vancouver media is an absolute menace they are some of the worst in sports

you said that if we maintain larkin and pettersson and our entire d corps, then we could compete for cups. i wasn't sure if you were implying that anyone else in the system was expendable to make the trade for pettersson. guess you weren't

personally, i think that raymond is our most untouchable asset. larkin is getting close to aging out of our window. we could trade seider and still have edvinsson, and vice versa. we could trade cossa and still have augustine, and vice versa. we could trade kasper and still have danielson, and vice versa. we could trade debrincat and still have buchelnikov (potentially), and vice versa. we have no one in the system that could step in and do what raymond does

raymond is our leading scorer (going on 2 years in a row) our most consistent player (his longest scoreless streak this year is one 3 game stretch, and that was the 3 games before lalonde got fired) one of our most rugged players (he's only missed 8 games in his career so far) he does all this while still holding his own on defense. and the scary thing is that he keeps getting better in all facets of the game. i believe that he has the talent to drive play from the wing a la kane. i predict that in 2 years he will have one of the best contracts in the league
