24/25 Waivers/Rumors/TDL Thread.

Pastrnak isnt happy in Boston. I'd give up a lot for him. If we could get him or Cozens (depending on price) or Petterson. We could be set up so good for the future. Especially Pasta or Petterson. What about DeBrincat, Copp, Danielson and 1st for Pasta or Petterson?
 
I'm not sure why we'd want to trade positive assets for Dylan Cozens.

Isn't he a cap dump at this point?

He's on a pace for 18 goals and about 42 points, in his brief career his career +/- is negative 54 (!) and he's pulling down over $7M per year for something like the next 5 years. Maybe if they gave us a 2nd and a 3rd, and retained half his first-year salary, and we gave them future considerations, then we could take the risk that he ever returns to $7M form.

Or maybe just give us the third, and we ship them Copp. That might work. We'd just hope we're not getting another Copp.

This stuff about giving them Berggren or worse yet Kasper for Cozens -- that's bat-sh*t crazy.

Pastrnak, Petterson, and Cozens: One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong.
 
I think theres a 0% chance pastrnak is leaving boston. Marchand is retiring soon and hes locked in longterm

If theres a chance canucks are dumb enough to move petersson we'd have to try

I was wondering what people think might be the cost for k'andre miller and what his contract might be ??? Drury seems to have lost it and is willing to move anyone

I don't think he's a negative value cap dump, he's 23 with a 30 goal season and another 47 point season. He does a lot of things other than just be a scorer and he has positional versatility. There's also a track record of guys getting out of Buffalo and doing much better.

However, there's a lot of people in here acting like he's a bonafide top 6 stud center with no risk. At his cap hit and production the last 2 seasons there's absolutely risk that you're taking on a really shitty deal down the line.

I think he's an upgrade on Copp or Compher for sure, but with his cap you would want to be sending one of those guys the other way probably. I also wouldn't be trading Kasper or Danielson for him given the risk with his cap hit and recent performance.

He's a good lowish risk potential high reward trade target but he's not a sure thing

I don't think he is a 35$million dollar player and that's what he is still owed... that's alot of money tied up into a guy with very avg(or below) production past 100 games..

Rather spend assets on Rasmus Andersson if the rumours he'd welcome a trade are true

With the cap going up and a guy like Compher or Copp going the other way, the cap hit does kinda wash out though.

I'm not so sure either of those Michigan guys would be happy to go the other way and can't imagine Buffalo wanting anyone not longing to play there

No one is longing to play in Buffalo lol. They'll take what they can get.

As for the no trade lists, usually those are submitted at the start of the year. Its entirely possible that Buffalo isnt on either of their lists. Yzerman traded St Louis out of Tampa. He isnt going to be sentimental if he sees a way to improve the roster

I love Andersson and I would love to see him in a Red Wings sweater but I’m not touching Calgary’s asking price of a 1st + young player + prospect

I just don't see Buffalo, of all teams, wanting anyone who dosent want to be there is all
 
Red Wings 1st rdp, Joe Veleno, and Kiiskinen or Lombardi doens't move the needle? (Pick,Player,Prospect)
